"We had The Rush as our wedding band and they were even better than we could have anticipated. All of our family and friends have commented on how fab they were. They managed to get everyone on their feet. We loved all of the music, especially our first dance song."

"I just wanted to feedback that Claudio was absolutely fantastic and completely made the atmosphere everything we wanted. All of our guests loved him and we had so many compliments on his fantastic repertoire (including lots of Tom Jones for my Welsh relatives!!). We really could not have asked for anything more! "Blue Jewel absolutely nailed their two sets for our wedding with their impeccable musicianship, excellent repertoire list, clear calling and easy-going good humour. Half the wedding party was made up of discerning (even after a few glasses) professional musicians, and everyone was completely delighted. They're still talking about it, not least that troika. Cracking first dance too, very easy for the newly-weds. Steve was also really easy to communicate with before the event, which took a lot of stress out of the wedding planning. Worth every penny. Not planning to get married again but hopefully we'll find another occasion to book them again soon! "

"I cannot fault this band in any way! We kept the ceilidh as a surprise for our wedding guests and it went down as well as we had hoped! The caller was excellent and all the guests engaged well and the dances were so fun and energetic. We have had so many compliments since our wedding about that and can't wait to see the professional photos because we know they will show just how much fun we had. The band then continued on for another hour playing covers of popular wedding songs which was also excellent. The band were very quick, efficient and professional, and the booking process, forms and numerous zoom calls made the whole thing very easy and stress-free. We really can't recommend this band enough!!"

"I can't thank the whole band enough got the amazing music and atmosphere they created during our wedding party in Edinburgh. Their mix of old and modern songs worked in perfectly with my vintage theme and was definitely one of the highlights of my night watching them perform. The BV's are a band I would love to see play again and I will be looking out for some of their regular gigs in Edinburgh to head along to. Thanks so much for helping to make my wedding party something special!"

"Bessie’s life in blues brought back to life. Some performers deserve to be known by more than their work. Bessie Smith won fame as Empress of the Blues in the 1020’s, but there was more to her life than money and fame. She died in 1937, but 80 years on a good sized crowd were held rapt at the Thunderbolt as Dave Merrick narrated her life story, from a ragged upbringing in the American South, with the help of original recordings. Bessie shot to fame because her unique vocal style could cut through the limitations of 1920s recording technology. But it was the live performances the Totterdown audience were waiting for, and Natalie Davis on vocals, with Dave on guitar and Brenan Whitmore on saxophone did not disappoint. Renditions of I Need A Little Sugar in my Bowl, and ‘Taint Nobodies Business If I Do made the magic of Bessie shine, from the slow paced blues of the 1920s to the syncopated swing of the 1930. . the show had the audience rapt. - Paul Breeden, South Bristol Voice (May 01, 2017)"

"I hired these guys for my 30th birthday party as I am a big jazz enthusiast and boy did they deliver. It felt like a mixture of stepping into the past with their older repertoire and reliving the present with the newer stuff that they play. Great energy and stage presence as well. Couldn't recommend enough."

"Incredible Band, very talented and had everyone up dancing from each generation. I, myself, would not write a review but the band were just so very talented and had everyone at the wedding just raving about them. Brought a great atmosphere to the evening and were so responsive throughout the planning stage too. They are a sure hit with all guests and could not have been better. Wish we could do it all again.
