"We would just like to thank all of the band so very much for the incredible performance you put on for our wedding on Saturday. You were OUTSTANDING! It was very important to us to get a good band, but you guys weren't just a good band, you were the perfect band. Styles to suit all the guests (everyone raved about you) and great show presence - full of confidence for the ceilidh songs. Lovely touch having us on the dance floor for a special bride/groom dance at the end, followed by an entire wedding Auld Lang Syne. You are an exceptionally talented band. "Please would you thank Wade and the band very much for attending our Fun Day on Friday 15th June. It was a pleasure to meet them and both residents and staff were delighted to watch, dance and listen to such a versatile repertoire. The weather was disappointing but it didn’t dampen our enthusiasm. I do hope we have an occasion to book the band again."

"Chris and Kim of The Sunset Duo brought some incredible music and energy to our pub’s community night! Playing music from across the decades and a little something for everyone, there wasn’t a single person in attendance who didn’t enjoy both sets. In fact, when they took a break, I had several people asking me when they were going to start playing again! There wasn’t much room for dancing, as the pub was very full, but it was clear from the bouncing heads and swaying bodies, that people felt compelled to. The duo effortlessly connected with their audience and kept the energy up throughout the evening. I’m looking forward to having them perform in the pub again soon, as I know they will deliver the same level of fun and professionalism to each performance. "Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Fleur came with her amazing pianist Pete Billington to sing for my father on his 90th birthday at his care home. She was incredible generous and flexible in the way she arranged the gig beforehand and positive about the whole experience from beginning to end. She played two short sets which were exactly right the whole family and the residents absolutely loved it and there was a fabulous atmosphere. Happiest of all was my father! It took twenty years of him and he joined in and improvised with Fleur and Pete on his harmonica in absolute heaven. Fleur has a beautiful voice and a wonderful warm swingin' delivery it was perfect! 110% Fab would book her and Pete again like a shot. "

"The best band ever! We absolutely loved having The Will Blake Band at our wedding. They were one of the absolute highlights of the day! every said they were amazing! Will’s beautiful red piano immediately catches your eye, and the energy and professionalism of the whole band was incredible. The female vocalists looked fantastic in their gold glittery dresses, and the guys had subtle touches of gold too - they all looked polished, fun, and ready to put on a show. We opted for the six-piece band! During dinner, Will played the piano beautifully, it felt like we were in a classy, fun jazz bar with low lights and great music. Guests at the table next to him kept giving requests, and honestly, Will is like a human jukebox. During the drinks reception, the saxophone performance was fantastic, and before dinner, Will had everyone up on their feet for our entrance song. We trusted him to choose the perfect track, and he nailed it, it couldn’t have been better. Their performance exceeded all expectations. They don’t just play the songs they perform them and Will on the piano is the star of the show. Their customer service was brilliant, their professionalism was spot-on, and the energy and talent they brought to the stage was perfect. If you’re considering booking them for your wedding or any party, do it, you will not regret it. Everyone was on the dance floor all night - a really great mix of songs and you can let Will know if you have any specific ones for your big day. Thank you so much to Will and the whole band for making our day so special. Absolutely AWESOME. 10 Stars!!!!"

"Thank you very much for entertaining us last evening. So many people remarked on how much they were enjoying your music. It set the atmosphere just right for us to all have a get together over a drink with our fellow residents. I'm still singing Norwegian Wood to myself this morning!!"
