Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Goldsworth Gerry were great for my party last Saturday. I had the party in a hall and they had to set up around caterers, decorators (lots of balloons!), and people going in and out whilst they were setting up their equipment on the stage. They were easy to communicate with and very helpful when i had a couple of dilemmas about timings through the evening. I wanted music which would encourage everyone to get up and dance and they certainly delivered! Lots of friends told me how much they loved the band and the music and felt that they sounded extremely authentic, whatever number they were playing. Thank you so much for making my party such a big success, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Best wishes, Sue"

"The Chandeliers performed at our work Christmas party to a hard crowd but were an absolute hit! Had us all up dancing. Great set list. Great musicians. Amazing singers such great choices and they had lots of smiles for us and had us singing along."

"Green Street Jazz trio were perfect for my birthday party and I received lots of positive comments from guests and from the venue. They were friendly guys who fitted right in and I would highly recommend them. "

"So glad we booked Motion Picture for our wedding. The whole process from booking to the performance was excellent and communication with Dan the singer was a pleasure. They really are talented musicians with a great selection of songs - they certainly filled the dance floor! We had lots of positive comments from guests. "I booked Ian and the band for a surprise 30th birthday. The communication leading up to the event was fantastic, Ian couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was clear, explain how things would work and was even extra accommodating when I decided to change the venue a couple of times. The band learnt a special song, managed all the guests so the surprise was a success and made the atmosphere so positive and energetic for the whole night, always adding personal touches to make us all feel really special. Everything about booking and the lead up to the event was made so easy and enjoyable, and the night couldn’t have gone better. The band are happy to work with any space to make the experience the best it can be, as well as accommodating music choices, requests where possible and getting involved in bespoke elements of events and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!! Thank you!!!"

"I booked Will & Dan for my Mum’s birthday. The guys performed an acoustic set, tailored perfectly for the occasion! I’ve also seen them play at a friend’s wedding and numerous local events. They really know how to engage the audience and get people moving. The set list covers it all!"

"Brilliant what more can we say, the music choices start to the very end of the night had people on the dance floor, including me (the bride) really dancing/bouncing... note to self and others not good in a wedding dress!!!! Phill was friendly from our first conversation, trying to give options to meet our needs. Great music, great band, wish we could do it all again ;-) V "

"Our wedding took place at the Merchant Taylors' Hall, central London, in December 2012. We knew that we wanted a band for the evening reception, and some music for our wedding ceremony, but didn't really know where to look for inspiration. The Blue Suede Shoes looked like our kind of band, and their website was really helpful and informative, so we made our booking a couple of months in advance after contacting Ben by email. There is so much planning involved in arranging a wedding. As the groom, I wanted to know that the band would be there in good time, and be organised and professional on the day. We were in very safe hands with The Blue Suede Shoes - they were absolutely brilliant and very considerate to our requests. Their rendition of the song for our first dance was perfect, and all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band's sets. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the band to anyone for their own events. They were superb musicians, excellent value and great people too. We really did have a perfect day, and we are very grateful to The Blue Suede Shoes for helping to make it so special. "

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band entertained us at our village fete dance and we would highly recommend them. This was the second time we have booked them and they did not disappoint us. They gauged the audience well and made sure both young and old could join in. They coped supremely well with the last minute change of venue due to bad weather also. She is a sensational performer🤩 Her vocals are insane, her stage presence is amazing and her energy is truly unmatchable! My friends and I always have a brilliant time!! "Urban Myth played at our wedding on 14 July 2018. They were absolutely unreal. They rocked the barn, got everyone on the dance floor and smashed out two amazing sets. The feedback from all our guests was incredible. We've already recommended their services to two lots of friends who are getting married next year as we'd love to see them again. Their website is great, their song selection is on point (no cheese, just tunes), the girls belt out the vocals and they're all quality musicians individually as well as collectively! Can't praise them enough!"
