"First time I'd been to a Jazz concert. It was what I expected and more. An outside charity event at Gallery House near Marykirk in Aberdeenshire. It was a cold evening for June but the band kept us warm ? Hoping this event happens every year and they come back??"

"‘The Covered’ were fantastic for my Mum’s 70s/80s themed birthday party. We chose them from the great reviews they have online, and were certainly not disappointed. John was very responsive to all emails, and was able to accommodate all of our song requests either with the band themselves or the playlist he created for us. We were very impressed with the set up of the 6 piece band (plus their own sound engineer), and their early arrival to make sure everything was sorted before guests arrived. Throughout the night they were incredibly flexible to changes to our planned schedule e.g. starting slightly later to accommodate slower eaters! This is before we even mention their actual performance which was brilliant - both lead singers had great voices and the sound quality was just what we were looking for. We would definitely hire them again!"

"It was our pleasure to have Ben and the band play for us at our Captains Dinner Dance at Basingstoke Golf Club last Saturday Night. We had a quartet playing (Double Bass, Saxophone, Drums and Guitar and lead vocals) and they were excellent, the mood was perfect and the dance floor full all night. We had discussed the playlist beforehand, we were given some sound pointers but the band also added some of our favourite numbers to their sets, and they nailed them! Also and importantly the band were professional, dependable and great communicators in the run up to our event - fully recommend them. "

"Jess was incredible from beginning to end - she made the booking process so easy, was very responsive and made things straightforward; on the day itself she arrived promptly and was relaxed setting up, dressed stylishly; when it came to the performance she was absolutely excellent, exactly what I had hoped for and couldn't have asked for better. "It has been my Fortune to have witnessed the Fantastic 'Phenomenon' that is Funk It Up! at many a Function. They are Furiously Funky, Fabulously Fun, and, and.... and....OK I've run out of F words? If you haven't seen them, WHY NOT??? They're the tightest funk band for many a mile, perhaps in the world ??❤️"

"Booked Deep Down Brass for our evening wedding entertainment. Great communication in advance of the day. Seamless set up and clear away on the day and worked really well in conjunction with a DJ. Very talented musicians and great set list. Guest also loved it and particularly enjoyed when they walked through the crowd with the instruments. Made everyone feel included even if they weren’t able to dance. Would absolutely recommend Deep Down Brass. They were superb"
