"It was an absolute pleasure having Funk Federation play, we feel very proud of making such a great choice. Everyone including my reluctant new non-dancing husband, his elderly father and my frail old frail uncle were up dancing to your performance. So we truly thank Funk Federation for making our wedding entertainment so special...I'd love you guys to play for me again!"

"We booked Nick for a 50th party, all being fans of bands like Queen and also loving anything in the way of 80s music (and we are big 80s movies fans!) we'd been after someone who could play a varied selection outside in the garden. And what a set Nick put on for us! Played in 2 halves with a short break, he must have been playing for the best part of 3 hours in total as everyone kept asking for one more song! Covering hits from from the film Pretty in Pink (wife's fave film), Tom Jones through to the Police and I'm sure someone had him do some heavy rock at one point! Queen hits including a solo version of Bohemian Rhapsody was just out of this world (and the lady who runs their fan club was here to see that one!) But surely the best moment of the night for me was Nick playing Life on Mars in front of my TARDIS when it was all lit up (his set started in daylight and ended late!) Fantastic entertainment and I would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for that something special for a party, wedding or just an excuse to have a good time with live music!"

"The Fireflies are a fun and professional band. Had a party in the garden. Our guests loved them and our neighbours did too! Wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. "

"From the moment we first reached out to Ellen, we knew we were in safe hands. Her communication was prompt, warm, and incredibly professional, and it was clear right away that she genuinely cared about making our wedding day as perfect as it could be. Nothing was ever too much trouble; even the smallest questions or requests were met with kindness, patience, and enthusiasm. Ellen’s professionalism and expertise stood out from the very beginning. She guided us through our song choices and helped us select the perfect pieces for the key moments throughout the day. She was incredibly organised, yet so easygoing and relaxed, which made working with her such a pleasure. She truly took all the stress out of this part of the planning and brought a wonderful calm energy that we deeply appreciated in the lead-up to the big day. And then came the music. We already knew Ellen had a beautiful voice; we’d listened to recordings and seen clips online but hearing her perform in person was something else entirely. Her voice is simply breathtaking, and the emotion she brings to every note made each moment feel even more special. She added such a magical, heartfelt presence to our ceremony and reception that it’s hard to put into words just how much it meant to us. Ellen was warm, friendly, and genuinely excited to be part of our day. She felt more like a friend than a supplier, and we’re so grateful for the kindness and warmth she showed; not only to us but to all of our guests as well. Speaking of our guests; they couldn’t stop talking about her! Everyone was absolutely blown away by her voice, her energy, and the atmosphere she created. We had so many people come up to us to say how incredible she was, and several even asked for her details for future events. She was, without a doubt, one of the most talked-about and loved parts of our day. One moment that really stands out was a last-minute change we made to our song list. With very little time, Ellen learned it and performed it beautifully as though it had been part of her repertoire for years. That small act meant the world to us, and we’ll never forget it. (Please don’t put the same stress on her though! 😂) Ellen, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You helped make our wedding day more magical than we could have ever imagined. Your talent, your warmth, and your professionalism were everything we could have hoped for and more. It was truly an honour to have you there, and we will forever be grateful. "

"I'm writing to you to say how much we appreciated your playing the piano at our Anniversary luncheon. Your attention to detail was particularly noted and many of our guests commented that the music was of their era, as many were around 50 years ago appreciating lovely songs! "It was a pleasure to have Chris play on our wedding day, first welcoming guests with bagpipes and then playing low whistle during the ceremony. Chris is an excellent musician - the music was beautiful and made our big day even more special! By having multiple instruments in his repertoire, we were able to pick the perfect music for each part of the day. Throughout the planning process, Chris made great suggestions for pieces of music to play and was very flexible and accommodating. "
