"The Misfit Makers were the highlight of our party. From start to finish, they were phenomenal. The band interacted with our guests and kept the vibe upbeat. They even took requests! "Thank you so much for playing the bagpipes for us on the 18th October 2019; it was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding! Tom was very surprised along with all the guests - and I only managed to let slip the secret a few times! We're still waiting on our wedding videos and I'm very excited to watch my dream of walking down the aisle to bagpipes all over again. "Thanks for your amazing performance at the TravMedia Awards 2023. To sum up the trio in a few words, I would say they are perfect if what you are looking for is authentic, up-beat feel-good songs that any age can enjoy. The acoustics are perfect, and the band are completely flexible with performance timings and with choosing the right music to suit the theme, as well as being polite and friendly… Overall amazing to work with! We can’t wait to work with them again. "

"What an incredible evening! All of my interactions prior to the evening were prompt, very helpful and worked with me to plan the evening. On the night, they were great. Reading the room and adjusting the music to suit. When people just wanted to chat after the meal, the music and vocals were there and complimenting. Once we had people on the dance floor it stepped up. A really great experience, would book again without a shadow of a doubt and would highly recommend. Thanks for a great night!"

"Absolutely thrilled and privileged Jonny was able to come all the way to the Midlands to play at my Aunts funeral. Jonny played beautifully at my Aunts committal then again at the wake. We wanted traditional upbeat accordion music played to celebrate my Aunts life due to a number of children attending in the family, and it being their first funeral. Everyone commented how lovely the funeral was, it wasn't somber at all, and how fitting Jonny's music was. Thank you from all family and wish you all the best and success for the future xxx"

"Big Smoke Brass caught my eye from a cover they don’t even have up anymore and they lived up to literally everything I wanted. Our dinner overran by two hours and true to professionalism they played as long as our venue would allow, launching in as soon as they could - literally every single guest I’ve spoken to since my wedding complimented me on my brilliant choice of band. They even sent us an arrangement of our first dance ahead of time so we could practise to it, and they worked really hard to make our event completely perfect, even tailoring a parade style entrance on the fly! I could not compliment them more. I wish I could get married again so that I can hire them again, but I guess I’ll just have to think grander with my celebrations from here on out to get them back!"
