"First time booking the band, won't be the last that's for sure, they were brilliant and still being talked about 8hrs after they had left the stage. If you want people dancing and singing then this is the band for you."

"Thank you Groove Allstars for making my 60th Birthday celebration at Ponteland Golf Club on 28th April 2018 so special. The band sound was great and both singers had fantastic voices. We thoroughly enjoyed the night and would not hesitate to recommend this band to anyone, in fact we have booked them again for my daughter’s wedding in 2019, and we are already really looking forward to it. "Nia has performed twice at two separate family parties (the first 100+ and the second with 40 people) Both times Nia has been exceptional, performing two very distinct sets (one whilst our guests ate and the second for dancing) Everyone sang along, danced and had such a lot of fun!! Diolch Nia, you really added to both parties and we can’t wait to have you back!!"

"Small Days guitarist Dave Merrick was the master of ceremonies, with vocalist Natalie Davies and sax player Brendan Whitmore joining him for the live songs. Dave unfolded the story at a well-judged pace, with records of Bessie Smith’s evocative voice even drawing applause from the attentive audience whenever they were included. The live contribution was important, too, and Natalie wisely steered away from imitating Bessie’s full-throated contralto to emphasis the singer’s lyrics with an upbeat swing on numbers like Need A Little Sugar and Send Me To The Electric Chair. Brendan Whitmore switched between soprano and tenor sax, the former particularly eloquent on Need A Little Sugar, the latter coming to the fore on T’Aint Nobody’s Business If I Do. All in all it was a satisfying journey through blues history with one of the great women who made the music what it became. We had an absolute ball, the dance floor was totally full for your live bits and it never emptied - perfect!! Not only did we really enjoy it but loads of the guests made a point of saying how much they'd enjoyed it too. Thanks so much for helping to make our wedding exactly what we wanted."

"We had this duo perform at our office party. They played everyone's favorite songs and made each song there own. They were very flexible, and quiet setting up. We will definitely be hiring them for next year's Christmas party!"

"I recently got married and booked southwest band off of the back of them playing at my other friends wedding! I cant say enough praise about them - so friendly and went above and beyond with all my requests. They even let me live out my dreams and let me sing with them! And also let me play the drums at the last wedding ha ha! All of my friends still speak about how good and memorable they were with their mixes especially me brightside “but make it weird” 😂 i could go on but 10000% would recommend ❤️"

We had loads of great comments, texts and FB posts from our friends and family about how good you, and all the other bands, were. We wished more people had got up to dance earlier on but sadly it takes people time and a few beers to get up and boogie!! "We both wanted to make sure you knew that the music we heard you play throughout the day was fantastic, and it really added a lovely atmosphere to the proceedings. The amount of guests that have said to us how lovely it was to have the harp playing before, during, and after the ceremony, and how much they enjoyed listening to you play, is truly indicative of the lovely contribution you made. You really helped to create the whole tone of the day-celebrations, and your performance was everything we had hoped for. "
