Review Centre: String Players

"As our wedding was greatly effected due to C19 restrictions and all our guests were so looking forward to the day we were looking for something a little different. At very short notice we found "Devon Strings" which proved to be the best choice we could have made. Communication was clear, prompt and really efficient, individual music choices accommodated all in the most professional manner. On arrival the quartet were absolutely brilliant, went through last minute details and the wedding began. Words really do seem inadequate to describe the brilliant standard of performance, professionalism and versatility of the quartet, and the great pleasure their music gave to everyone present, they turned our wedding day into an unforgettable day for all. Exceptional. Would highly recommend to all Thank you so much"

"Josie was fantastic!!! She provided all genres of music (& all requests!) and played seamlessly upon guests arriving at reception and throughout the evening and in between wedding breakfast!! All of our guests commented on how amazing she played and how it sounded.. Would highly recommend and would 100% use Josie again!!! "Lizz was a violinist at our wedding recently, and she was totally amazing! So many of our guests especially mentioned how fabulous she was - from initial quote through to the day Lizz was very professional and friendly, she worked with us closely to plan our day including a special piece for the procession and exit from church and chosen pieces for entertaining our guests throughout the ceremony and champagne reception! "Totally brilliant at our daughter's wedding! The cello duo made a special day even more special. They played a range of lovely tunes we asked for, even dressed in the colour scheme of the wedding! They moved from the ceremony room, to outside in the fresh air, to the function room, quite happily. Very flexible, extremely talented, happy and charming people. What a lovely sound for a special event. Thank you!"

"Zoe played the harp at our wedding at Butley Priory on 06/04/2024. I had previously heard her play on a school trip (I am a teaching assistant) and knew straight away that I wanted her to play at my wedding! The communication between Zoe and myself was excellent. She was very efficient at replying to my queries and keeping in contact. Zoe has a huge repertoire and gave us the opportunity to choose music for my entrance, signing of the register and our exit. She helped to make suggestions for pieces that would work well and also learnt a piece that we chose that she hadn't played for a long time. She was prompt, professional and friendly. The harp she played was full size and a beautiful instrument. It sounded wonderful with the acoustics of our venue. She played while our guests arrived, during the ceremony and then at our drinks reception. This was 3 hours in total. The music was stunning, a fantastic mix of modern and traditional. So many of our guests commented on the music and how lovely it was. I would not hesitate to recommend Zoe for any wedding or event, large or small! Thank you Zoe! "

"Meredith has an incredible talent on the harp. We had a mix of classical and modern pieces as well as our hymns played on harp all of which sounded truly wonderful. Meredith kept in regular contact with me and learnt the pieces we wanted and even sent me sound clips during the process. We feel our wedding was perfect from the very start as the harp was played whilst our guests arrived too. I can honestly not fault Meredith's service and musical talent. Would recommend for any occasion and we will certainly be in touch for future events. "
