"Rachel sang at our wedding at the Inn at Whitewell on Saturday during the signing of the registers. She was brilliant, and all of our guests were commenting on how good she was. Rachel sang beautifully, looked stunning, and provider excellent service and value for money. Thank you so much Rachel for playing such a big part in making our day perfect. "

"Thank you so much to Adam for doing the music at our wedding. I had chosen to walk the aisle to pachelbels cannon years ago back in school and on my big day this was played perfectly. You really helped make our day amazing, the music played was just what we were after, can’t recommend you more!"

"Dear Ken. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day very special for us. You were a joy to work with and played exactly what we wanted. As you know we are both jazz enthusiasts and your music was the best ever, really hitting the mark. Our guests were enthralled by your performance. Put our first anniversary date in your diary! "We met Zoe at a wedding fayre last year. We could hear something playing from across the other side of the room and we had to see who was playing such a beautiful tune. We stood and watched Zoe play along with other couples and was just amazed at how elegant she was when playing the harp. Hiring a harpist was something that had never crossed our minds for our wedding before, we asked Zoe to play our chosen wedding song, which she did and we were blow away by her performance. We booked straight away and was so pleased that we did. We had great communication with Zoe all the way through out booking and she also learnt some new music to accommodate one of our songs that we wanted playing. On the day she was at the venue really early setting up and also played throughout our wedding breakfast. The music was flawless and sounded beautiful. Zoe's performance contributed to our special day and all of our guest were asking about her and enjoyed her playing throughout the meal. I would recommend Zoe to anyone who would like some professional and elegant music playing at their wedding or any other event! I am still amazed by her skills and it gave my wedding that extra special touch!"

"Many people came up to me after the service saying how genuinely touched they were by your performance. My Uncle and my Dad were sat behind me during the service and you literally reduced them both to tears. I have never seen either of them cry before. It was extremely moving, your performance was beautiful and perfect. Rob would have absolutley loved it. Thank you much for performing for us and for your professionalism and sympathy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone "

"Avoid this woman. We paid her £380 to play for an hour and a half in the woods during our wedding ceremony and drinks reception on Saturday 10th August, 2019. She played for half an hour before the ceremony and then wouldn’t play the remaining hour because she claimed the conditions weren’t appropriate. Her reasons are as follows... her fingers were too cold (it was 20 degrees) and a small branch fell on the wedding celebrant who was no way near Cecily (the celebrant carried on like a profession, I hasten to add). I asked Cecily for the money for the hour back and she refused. I therefore, am going to be looking into what legal action to take as I am not happy paying £380 for someone to play for half an hour! Cecily ruined our wedding day so don’t book her... she could ruin yours, too! "

N/B: Please note this booking was private and not through Last Minute Musicians. If it had, then the LMM contract would have made clear that the musician reserves the right to protect their instruments (and themselves) if the working environment become unreasonable or dangerous. On this day the MET office had issued a yellow warning for gale force winds and the weather conditions were a cause for concern. The wedding took place in a wood and as well as the celebrant being hit on the head by a falling branch, a much larger branch fell inches away from my harp after the ceremony. It is always difficult and upsetting to have to make the decision that it is unreasonable to continue playing when it is somebody's wedding day. I did, in fact, manage to play for 1/2 an hour before the ceremony and during the ceremony itself. When it was clear after the ceremony that there was no available option of moving inside, and after much consultation with ushers and friends of the couple, I made the decision that it was no longer a safe environment to work for me or the harp. I was assured by those I spoke to that the bride and groom would understand. The cold was a factor (high winds make the temperature feel much colder, and I would like to add several guests did put on their coats. I was also kindly offered a jacket) but not the reason for having to curtail this booking after 1 hour of playing. It is sometimes possible to deal with the ill effects of playing in the cold but the issue here was the lack of back up plan when the weather made the working environment dangerous. Nobody should be expected to work in an unsafe environment or put their extremely expensive and delicate instrument (as well as themselves) at risk when their livelihood depends on it. I would hope that having managed to play before and during the ceremony (and before the couple departed for photographs) that the decision made did not ruin anyone's wedding day. Naturally I am saddened when anyone feels dissatisfied with the service provided and I have never had a negative response to my performance at a wedding before. With best wishes, Cecily

"I would just like to thank Kevin for playing at our wedding in March. He made the perfect atmosphere for all of our quest and during the ceremony accompanied my Father and I as we walked to registra. We have had so many compliments on how fantastic our day was and it was down to Kevin making everyone feel relaxed from start to finish. Big thank you, Lesley."

"Hey Lizz, Firstly thank you so much for playing on our wedding day! All the guests feedback was how fantastic you were. Ever since I was a little girl I always imagined walking down the aisle to a violin, so thank you for forfilling my dream. Thank you so much for the effort you put in to work the room and get everyone involved after the ceremony. I've been told you even took requests from some of our 'tipsy' guests which made there day. We both really appreciate the extra time it took for you to learn the new songs for us, which made our day extra special. Also thank you for the surprise cd you placed in our post box, it was a nice treat to find "

"Neil's artistry was perfect for the principle baritone role in the premiere of the Mark twain opera Mysterious 44. Intelligent, passionate, flexible, golden-toned singing and impressive acting, and excellent integration with the rest of the cast. A gem of a musician to work with."
