"We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you and Alex for the fantastic set you did on Saturday at Ben’s 40’s Themed 40th Birthday Party! You were so friendly and helpful that many of the guests assumed you were friends of Ben’s. Well you are now! Your voices and Alex’s guitar playing were really lovely and the choice of songs was spot on. I really appreciated the way you took charge of any announcements and navigated the events during the evening without ever taking over, so that it took away any stress from us. Thanks also for enabling Izzy to use the backing tracks so that she could sing some special songs for Ben .You both really helped to make the evening such an enjoyable event for all involved. Lots of people commented on the music and wanted to know who you were, and the staff at the venue said how much they had enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it created. I know Ben will be in touch with you soon, but once again thank you both so much again for helping to make the event ‘go with a swing’ so that we all had a really lovely evening. "We booked the string quartet for our daughter’s wedding at Rockbeare Manor on Easter Sunday. Put simply, they were awesome and elegantly set the scene for the special day. "From start to finish they were amazing! They made it so easy for us, liaising directly with the venue which took an extra worry away from us. They played for our drinks reception and then again for the evening guests arrival, they were fantastic! Our guests loved them and their music, they played both current songs and classics, putting their own RnB stamp on each song which really got the guests ready for dancing the night away They made our day, we would highly recommend them both"

"David played piano throughout a wedding service I recently attended and also throughout the meal in the evening. He played absolutely flawlessly the entire time and his talent helped make the day so magical. David was also an absolute pleasure to speak with throughout the day and was adored by so many of the other guests. I can’t recommend him highly enough."

"We seen Mike playing at my sister’s wedding party in York. He was ace ! We booked him on the day and he kept to his word. His set list is mixed and varied but he played requests too. We had an impromptu first dance, nothing was planned and Mike played the most beautiful rendition of Give a Little Respect. We give him full reign to provide all music and his knowledge and taste is exactly what is needed for a wedding. We specified no cheesy songs and his DJ set was upbeat, fun and very modern too. Can I just say how nice a guy he is too, he’s great with the kids too. Thanks again Mike we’ve got a budding DJ thanks to you 🙈☺️💙"

"After the success of their performance at our 2023 Christmas Tapas, we were so pleased to be able to book Hayley and Lee for both of this year's evenings. Their performance was brilliant, with the perfect mix of sing-a-long classics and Christmas tunes to get our customers in the festive spirit. "This great group played for us at our Community 50/60's Dance and they soon had everyone up dancing, some even started when the group were doing their "warm up"! It was a fantastic night and we got lots of good feedback. We would certainly recommend the Backbeats and hope we can have them back again sometime in the future. "

"We enjoyed a simply superb Evening with Rod at Burhill on Friday where we met the delightful Paul backstage. Paul helped our little boy, who became an instant fan, with his request for the pre-show music. After dinner Paul transformed into Rod and played a superb set that had the whole place rocking. Brilliant night, thanks to Paul and Strangey Promotions. "
