"I was struggling to find a string quartet for our wedding in Oxfordshire that were in budget and played the style of music that we wanted. I was relieved when Liz from the 440 Quartet got back to me to say they were available and were happy to travel from Birmingham to Oxfordshire to play at our wedding. Liz went above and beyond to help us get our playlist just right learning new songs that they didn’t have in their repertoire. They played every song to perfection on the day and everyone really enjoyed listening to them throughout the ceremony and drinks reception. The mix of songs they played around our playlist worked perfectly. Thank you Liz for being so helpful and accommodating, we really appreciate it as it took so much stress out of the process for us. I cannot recommend The 440 String Quartet highly enough for any wedding or event. "

"Thank you for a wonderful programme of music last week. The audience – your audience – were quite captivated by your music. They were surprised by the versatility of the cello, as demonstrated by the imaginative and varied programme of classical, jazz and show pieces you played, and of course by your virtuosity. All comments were positive, ‘excellent’, ‘great music’, ‘most enjoyable afternoon’, ‘very talents musicians’ ‘magnificent’. On a person note, I was enchanted by your playing; I loved your Haydn and Mozart and your Drunken Sailor was a treat."

"We first saw Martin at a friend's wedding and just had to book him for our own. He has a great setlist and is willing to learn a song for your event. His stage presence is formidable and he has an amazing unique style that brings a personal twist to plenty of classics. He kept the reception alive and was well received by all guests. He was professional and personable and took great care to give us a brilliant personalised experience. Would recommend him to bring some character to any event. "

"Duncan played for us at a lunchtime celebration for our Silver Wedding. His music was superb - just brilliant - and exactly the type of music we wanted. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed listening to him. He is a great musician - smartly dressed and has a quiet professional manner. "Simply brilliant! The musicians fitted into a tight space in the restaurant and played two beautiful sets of classic jazz tunes. It was complete surprise for my mother and she was thrilled having a live band perform her favourite songs. "
