"What can I say, except these girls Blew us Away. They brought so much beautiful music to our reception, so much great party energy, and on top of that..they are beautiful. Thank you Thank you Smokin' Mirrors, you were easily the best part of my wedding day (I guess getting married was also a plus hahaha) I simply cannot describe what great feedback we had from everyone, and an all female combo is just so cool. We are already looking at what event we can have to book them again. Incredible!"

"A HUGE thank you for being part of our special day at Goodwood House. You guys were absolutely amazing and so many guests complimented me on how brilliant you sounded! I would really recommend you to anyone looking for a sting trio/quartet for any occasion. "Ria were exactly what I wanted for my 60th birthday Cuban themed party. A very professional band that played wonderful laid back latin music that was fun to dance to as the evening went on. So pleased that we booked them as it really made the event, and all my guests loved then."

"The moment when Warwickshire Strings began to play our favourite song before I walked down the aisle was absolutely spine-tingling. So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful touch it was to have a string quartet at the wedding, and I couldn’t recommend this one more highly. They have a wonderfully eclectic repertoire, so there was really something for everyone to enjoy - and Rachel was incredibly helpful in advising us before the big day about what sort of music would be suitable at various points during the event. Their presence throughout the afternoon of our wedding added a truly magical touch to the occasion. "

"Small Days guitarist Dave Merrick was the master of ceremonies, with vocalist Natalie Davies and sax player Brendan Whitmore joining him for the live songs. Dave unfolded the story at a well-judged pace, with records of Bessie Smith’s evocative voice even drawing applause from the attentive audience whenever they were included. The live contribution was important, too, and Natalie wisely steered away from imitating Bessie’s full-throated contralto to emphasis the singer’s lyrics with an upbeat swing on numbers like Need A Little Sugar and Send Me To The Electric Chair. Brendan Whitmore switched between soprano and tenor sax, the former particularly eloquent on Need A Little Sugar, the latter coming to the fore on T’Aint Nobody’s Business If I Do. All in all it was a satisfying journey through blues history with one of the great women who made the music what it became.
