Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"We spent a great deal of time trying to find the right group to play at our summer wedding, and were so lucky to find Evelyn & the Band. We were spellbound by their demo songs and videos, which they easily outperform in person. Their repertoire is very broad, which makes them perfect for the wide spectrum of tastes at a typical wedding. The band contacted us well in advance to get a feel for the music we wanted, and how they would fit into the programme for the day. After our first chat, they produced a draft playlist, which they were happy to tweak to include a few favourites. They also offered to learn whatever we wanted for our first dance, and gave such a spellbinding performance of it on the night that we had to dance for nearly two minutes on our own before the best man could snap everyone out of it! They brought some fun background tunes to play whilst they weren’t on stage, and were very helpful in explaining what we should provide in the way of power and space for them to perform. They gave a really fabulous performance, getting folks dancing and singing along throughout the evening. We couldn’t have been more delighted with their music, or enjoyed ourselves more. We thoroughly recommend you book them while you can!"

"Regarding 21C, our feedback is all very positive. The band were fantastic live- whilst the video on-line was good, it doesn't really do them justice. The quality of the sound & their performance was excellent. Their choice of songs was also just right, as was their interaction with our (occasionally slightly mad & inebriated) guests! They got everyone dancing and created a great atmosphere. Probably the best sign is that many people (including the discerning music lovers amongst the guests) told me later how much they had enjoyed the music & asked me who the band was/ how I had found them. The DJ was also great at maintaining the tempo & atmosphere. She did a great job of finding the spanish language tracks & mixing them into the night. But at the same time she adapted in order to keep everyone on the dance floor. Everyone was very flexible considering that the music started an hour later than planned & that they were interrupted for a few unexpected hiccups. We really appreciated therefore that everyone stayed until 1am and were still there packing up when we left. They were also great at checking with me if we wanted to stick to the original plan given the delay, how we wanted the music for the bouquet/ garter throwing etc. All in all, everyone was excellent & topped off a great day. I would happily recommend the band & the DJ for anyone's event."

"We couldn't have been more pleased that we picked The Romantics as our wedding band. Aside from being really talented musicians and incredibly professional in the lead up to the wedding, they were absolutely phenomenal on the day and really got everyone involved. The fact that they moved around was also amazing, as it worked well for a summer's evening when people wanted to be outdoors, as they also got to dance and sing along outside without missing out. I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone looking for a band for an event and so many of our guests are still saying what a great choice they were. We absolutely loved you guys! "

"Thank you very much for coming along to Hydon Hobble 2019 and performing at our post-run party! Everyone loved the music. The total raised from the day was over £2,400 which is simply incredible. All the funds raised go towards the Hydon Hill service, particularly to a proposed Woodland Walk and garden with raised beds for the residents."

"Matt & Co. provided the live music for our 50th Wedding Anniversary party. They were excellent - as shown by the fact that the dancefloor was full from the first song to the last. There were dancers from 3 years of age to 80 and everyone had a fantastic time. Well done The Rockpins - Please play on!"
