"Unrecognised genius The Arsenal Tavern, Finsbury Park on Saturday 25 June 2022 That headline was a quote from DAVID BOWIE in Mojo Magazine about Billy RItchie, the keyboard player of MAYHEM, and could easily apply to the band itself. I reviewed them before, having been hugely impressed by the stunning harmonies and clever use of backing tracks, but I have to say, the new incarnation is even better, with Billy on Keyboards and Carol singing with even more assurance as when I first saw them a few years ago. DAVID BOWIE's comment is seen to be apt, the keyboards adding yet another dimension to what was already a very fine band/duo. I went to The Arsenal Tavern to catch the band, out of curiosity, especially when I noted the addition of keyboards. What a nice venue, rather a shame that the crowd was relatively quiet for a Saturday night, but they did warm up in the end - more than that, there was whooping and hollering as Carol and Billy sang "Don't Stop me Now" by Queen and "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen, among many other fine renditions of popular and very danceable songs, including Carol's stirring version of "Feel like a Woman" and Billy's rousing "Light my Fire" with its stunning organ solo and vocal climax producing a roar from the crowd before the song even ended. I still sense that this band has yet more to offer, some of the material could be considered rather lightweight and perhaps too populist, for such a credible force as MAYHEM are. "Rebecca played at my wedding and was unbelievable! She started off playing in the ceremony and afterwards went out onto the deck to play during canapes and photographs. All the guests were commenting on how good she was, me and my wife couldn't recommend her enough!!"

"I saw Alice play at the University of Manchester doing a Jass harp day. The day was very popular and had a tremendous atmosphere. The seating area that was provided was quickly over full and people we sitting in the wings to try and listen. It was beautiful and a wonderful experience. 10/10 Can't recommend enough. "

"The Leathernecks were absolutely amazing and really made our wedding special. Communication has been easy and stress free from the off. They were quick to set up and from the minute they started playing our first dance (which they learned especially) we knew we had made the right choice. They smashed every song - the dance floor was completely packed and once they had finished their set our guests even started chanting for one more song! (Which they kindly obliged and gave us two!) We think The Leathernecks are so special and if you have the chance to book them we recommend you don’t hesitate! They were the highlight of our day."

"Luka, was a very last minute inclusion as part of our ‘Speakeasy’ themed Xmas party night. She did not disappoint. I am so glad I booked her, and although not the main band for the night, her performance worked across a crowd of 200 people. I would happily see her perform at another one of our nights in the near future. Many thanks."

"Wow. These girls really brought the energy to our event, extremely talented musicians but also warm and great performers. It was also very easy to deal with them as they came with good communication and a professional approach to the booking process ....so really cannot fault the experience."

"Jeremy played at my wedding early December and was absolutely fantastic. Our guests loved him and all had a great night. His music choice and style was perfect and he got our guests involved during the set creating an excellent atmosphere. Would highly recommend and book again. "It was an absolute pleasure and delight meeting you on Saturday, you completely blew me away with expectations. I know that you had not had the best of weeks prior to Saturday, but please don’t let peoples opinions or actions define who you are as a person, or your passion. You are extremely talented and is a gift. So many people came to me and said how amazing you are! "If you are considering hiring Rory for your event 100% do it. Rory played at our wedding and completely blew us and our guests away, such a talent. Before our wedding we collaborated on what vibe we wanted to set, songs, some surprises for our guests and Rory completely understood the assignment and just continued to surprise and bring pure joy. Rory made our wedding the most magical, joyous and beautiful experience possible."

Hi Lyndsey, Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling great, although I can understand with the wedding and everything, with all the preparation and seeing so many people from your life in one go, it can be emotionally and physically draining.
