"Vicki played for us at our wedding reception at Lythe Hill Hotel and Spa in August 2019. It was a beautiful sunny day and walking in to the reception area straight after our ceremony to Vicki playing was just perfect. She played 2 x 40 minute sets while people mingled, had a few drinks in the sun and ate canapes. Everyone commented on how great Vicki sounded, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Would definitely book Vicki again, and could not recommend her enough! Our photographer, the bar staff and some guests even asked for Vicki's details for future bookings. Very happy with everything!"

"From our initial contact, the lead singer Lucinda demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and warmth. During our preliminary Microsoft Teams meeting, I outlined the event brief, and she listened with great care, offering insightful and creative suggestions that reflected her considerable experience. Following this discussion, the group prepared two outstanding set lists. On the evening of the event, they arrived well in advance to set up equipment and conduct a thorough sound check prior to the arrival of our guests. From the stage within the marquee, the group presented a striking visual presence and throughout the performance they completely captivated the audience! Despite the stormy weather and intermittent heavy rain, they carried effortlessly, maintaining clarity and strength against the elements. The Scott Standards are an exceptional talent, professional, reliable, and sophisticated. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a world-class act to elevate their event. I can't wait to book them again!"

"Ruth played the harp during our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in May. She was absolutely amazing, from when we first met her and organising the music to the actually day itself. We had so many compliments from guests about how lovely it was. Fully recommend Ruth to anyone looking for a harpist for their wedding or event!"

"JayRar was an amazing musician. His music was beautifully played with real emotion and depth. Everyone was very impressed with his talent and the song choices suited everyone's taste in music. "Firstly I would like to just point out that I am not one to leave comments and secondly I was hesitant to hire a Bagpiper from the internet…. But my word was Mr Bill James worth it!!! Having served with the Highlanders and being Scottish, with a lot of Scots attending my wedding. I originally asked friends within the Regiment to Pipe at my wife and my Wedding, Due to work related matters, they could not attend, which left us without a piper. Searching the internet, I found a Piper, but again due to commitments, he too could not attend, but suggested Mr James. From the start, my wife, myself and our guests, were amazed. He was fantastic. His playing of the Pipes, I am afraid to say, would have put even some of the best within the Regiment to shame!!! The perfect manner in which he conducted the pipes and himself was world class! His presentation, friendly and very professional manner stood out! (He was even at the Church before me)!! Would I recommend Mr James….? YES…. I would strongly recommend the Gentleman!!! Without any hesitation I will be keeping his details for any further function or event that we have!!!!! Thank you very much Mr Bill James, you certainly completed our wedding! To that we are both grateful. "
