"My birthday ceilidh was extremely enjoyable and the band played a large part in setting and sustaining a lively and very jolly atmosphere! It certainly wasn't hard to get people on their feet and dancing and Alan's calling was clear and simple enough to follow, though, of course, not everyone managed to do so absolutely all the time. A great and memorable evening. Many thanks to Black Velvet"

"Beautiful piano playing. It was joyful to have Jamie play at our daughter’s wedding at Broxmouth Courtyard. Jamie has such a wide repertoire he was able to play my daughter’s favourite Alicia Keys song as we walked in and then other pieces at relevant moments during the ceremony. The afternoon reception was also accompanied by a two hour virtuoso performance of works ranging from Van Morrison to Chopin. Something for everyone to enjoy as our guests mingled and made many new friendships. Truly the perfect accompaniment to any wedding. Thanks Jamie!"

"Just wanted to thank you again for attending my lovely mum's funeral. A new Orleans send off was what she requested, but she and the rest of the family did not think it would really be possible. She was a generous quirky woman and I was determined. In the end you made it so easy and your outfits and music choice were perfect. You all played so well. "I booked Darren for a 50th birthday party. It was a brilliant night, there were a mix of age groups so Darren played a great variety of songs from old to present day and he was happy to take any requests also. The quality of the sound was excellent and great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend."

"I just wanted to take this opportunity, now that we're back from our honeymoon, to say a HUGE thank you for the absolutely wonderful music you provided at mine and Luke's wedding. It was perfect! We have had so many comments about how the music added to the atmosphere in the church. The priest, Fr Chris, was particularly taken with you and is keen to form a quartet with members of the congregation! I absolutely loved when you played Halo, it was one of my most treasured moments of our incredible day.
