"I'm glad you've emailed because I had planned on sending you an email to thank you and your band anyway. All through the night Ii had people coming up to me and telling me how good the band were. You were absolutely immense and made our evening go with a bang. We both absolutely loved the set and were overwhelmed with just how good you were."

"Claire was a delight to work with in the planning stage and her playing on the day was great. She created a wonderful atmosphere in which it was comfortable for people to meet and chat, as well as sit and listen to a lovely range of music."

"I would recommend Jess most highly!! I was asked to find a vintage band for a wake, due to such short notice to find people I decided to search for a singer instead and came across Jess. Jess replied back straight away and was very professional. I felt at ease and trusted her for this delicate occasion. Jess arrived in plenty of time to get herself set up and begin on time. The repertoire was absolutely wonderful and people were commenting to how amazing her voice was. Jess sung her heart out and the passion for what she does oozed out. If you are thinking of booking Jess you will not be disappointed!"

"We are so pleased that we booked the Hot Hats for the evening of our wedding. They were extremely professional and helpful beforehand, agreeing to arrive earlier than originally booked to play our first dance music and playlist we had put together through their excellent sound and lighting system. They are both brilliant musicians and played an excellent and eclectic mix of songs that managed to get all of our guests up and dancing. They also both had a really good rapport with our guests that really added to the atmosphere. Thanks again for helping to make our day so special. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them."

"It was a great pleasure to work with Loose Shoes for our charity Gala dinner on December 3rd 2016 at Salon Bellevue of Café de Paris Place du Casino of Monaco. The feed back was really great and all the guests really enjoyed your music and style. I would like to congratulate your professionalism, your kindness and your capacity of adaptation at the party. Also i would like to congratulate you with your very nice presentation very smart. Last important thing, all the team have agreed that we would like your band for our next Charity Gala dinner on December 2017. "

"Thank you for Friday night! You guys were amazing, our guests all commented on how great you were and I'm sure you could tell by how many were on the dancefloor. Highlight of the night had to be leading the conga through the De Grey Rooms, though not sure how well the video worked out, I'm a beginner with a selfie stick!!! Thanks so much for helping to make it a night to remember."

"Had the Smooth Criminals for our wedding on Saturday and my dad's 60th birthday party on Sunday. Everything was done so professionally and effortlessly. We were completely relaxed for the whole of the wedding day knowing James had it under control, played great background music in the afternoon with disco music between sets in the evening. The band were faultless and had amazing feedback from everyone. Worth every penny. Thanks for making our wedding so special! Craig and Nikki Bailey Wedding Reception, Lechlade, Gloucester, May 2017"

"Ella Fitzgerald was born on 25 April 1917. She didn't have the easiest of starts to life - losing both parents and making a living on the streets as a teenager. She had hopes of becoming a dancer but had no training. What she did have was the gift of the smoothest, silkiest voice Jazz has known with the most delicate of touches - to hear Ella was to be kissed on the cheek by the lightest of breezes. Over her career she recorded 2,000 songs many of which are now Jazz standards - a fact in part due to the Fitzgerald imprimatur. Annette Gregory has a voice that is naturally lower in pitch than Ella’s and wisely she does not attempt a tribute act that imitates - rather her performance is a celebration of Ella’s legacy and the songs that will be sung and heard for as long as humans live on this planet. For this gig she was to have been accompanied by a quartet but unfortunately the bassist and sax player were caught up in a traffic standstill on the M6, but the piano (John) and drums (Matt) backing meant the stripped down support ensured that we focused on the songs. Just as Annette does not try to sound like Ella, neither does she slavishly follow her interpretations. This was strikingly apparent in songs such as “Miss Otis Regrets” and “The Man I Love” (which was more of a rocking blues than the familiar ballad). Annette's delivery is characterised by controlled, fluent and delicate phrasing and a pair of ballads - “When a Woman Loves a Man” and “Embraceable You” - were particularly pleasing. Let's hope that Annette and the full quartet make it back to Buxton soon! (10 / 10)"
