"Alice performed a cocktail hour session at our summer wedding in June. We feared the dreaded lull between the ceremony and the meal and her set was the perfect way to keep a lively atmosphere. The sound quality was superb and she nailed the track list to get everyone up and dancing. Watching our guests sipping on their drinks and dancing to the sax in the sun will be a lasting memory from the day, thank you so much!☀️☀️"

"We were very pleased with their performance. I was nervous of being in charge of booking the band for an important corporate event but they were brilliant and everyone enjoyed the performance. I was very happy with the services provided by the band. I have had lots of positive feedback on their performance from our guests. We are very pleased with how our event went and would be happy to use the band again in the future."

She played beautifully—every note was filled with emotion and elegance—and our guests were truly captivated. So many people commented on how stunning the music was. "I run a little Amateur Dramatics group called The Chanticleer Players and we were all attempting to put on our first Pantomime! We were struggling until we stumbled upon the brilliant Tom Kelsey! Tom came and saved the day! It was all rather last minute really, but Tom took it all in his stride and raised our Pantomime performance with his amazing piano playing. Not all our cast who sang are singers but Tom managed to make each and every one look great! He was able, off the cuff, to produce background music to scenes, which enhanced the audience experience. We had a CD of Christmas Songs playing as the audience arrived and took there seats, but one evening it faltered and broke. Tom stepped in and played Christmas songs to keep the atmosphere alive until the Pantomime was ready to begin. Tom was punctual, professional, understanding, adaptable and above all an outstanding musician. I can highly recommend Tom and we will be asking him back in the Summer! "

"The band arrived punctually and set up quickly for our first dance which they performed for us. They were fantastic from the first note struck all the way to the end. Lots of energy and enthusiasm. We were really pleased we chose them and they agreed to perform at our wedding."

"I just wanted to say such a huge thank you for the amazing performance that you gave. You were so friendly and willing to help in any way that any nervousness about getting up to dance was immediately dismissed. I was extremely apprehensive prior to the night about how the dancing would go down, especially with my two left feet! However my worrying was in vain, what a fantastic night of dancing it was, so inclusive that any and all can get up and get involved, aged 5 or 105. You need no experience or talent, just listen to the brilliant calling, it’s all simple moves but when it comes together with all your friends and family on the night, prepare to be amazed. I can not thank the band enough for making our Wedding such a fantastic night, I have never seen so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves all at once. I can sincerely recommend the Black Velvet Band for any social occasion, your expectations will be exceeded."
