Review Centre: 90s, 00s & Modern Style Bands

"Where do I start? Well I wanted a band for my 50th Birthday Party. A band that would suit all ages, as 8-86 year olds present, along with a fair few teenagers.....and get everyone up and dancing and having fun. I had only seen a few videos online and read the reviews, so it felt like a gamble. But it wasn't at all and I couldn't have asked for more! They were perfect! And everyone did enjoy it, including the teenagers and everyone else. I had so many compliments about the band and people asking where I had found them etc. I really couldn't have been happier - well apart from the fact it was my birthday and I had to speak to everyone, so really would have liked more time dancing and enjoying the band myself! Kris is very charismatic and all the band got involved in the fun. The crowd loved it when they came off stage and played in amongst them dancing and Kris's moves and costume changes etc. Kris was easy to deal with, all communications acknowledged and responded to. I got to write the set list too, plus they provided a play list between their sets. There was really nothing to fault. I would highly recommended this band for a fantastic, full of fun and dancing party! THANK YOU ALL! "

"Great event. We loved the music and Rory was completely professional and helpful right from the initial planning to the performance. "Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Steve read our slightly disfunctional crowd well. The violinist was really good as well. The weather held (just), so we were also able the have the performance outside which was really good. Can totally recommend."

"I have one word for Mr P - superb! I wanted an upbeat and fun-filled event that would leave people uplifted and full of joy. Mr P exceeded my expectations. He is an outstanding musician and able to cater to all tastes and styles from jazz numbers to modern pop anthems. I can safely say that he made the event. The feedback was incredible and he was worth every penny. I would definitely use him again. Mr P arrived long before the event started and you could hear his saxophone wafting over the gardens and walls around Winchester Cathedral, it was mesmerising. I am so grateful to Mr P for his first class performance and the care and attention he took to make my event so memorable. He is a class act. Whoever secures his services is on to a winner. Judging by how many friends asked for his card, I would snap him up. You will not regret it!"

"We have just had the absolute pleasure of TIDE playing at our Wedding in Suffolk. I honestly cannot explain how amazing they were, fantastic communication from the start (invaluable when trying to organise a wedding!!!) and on the day their performance was faultless. They had everyone dancing (even my 76 year old grandma who danced the whole evening in her heels!) and if I ever organise another event they would be my first and only choice. After the wedding all of our guests commented on how exceptional they were and how they made the evening. We cannot recommend highly enough and urge you to book them immediately! "

"AMAZING! Dave is so versatile and made our wedding incredible on so many levels. We had him play during the ceremony which was perfect. He then played alongside the DH for the evening reception and really got the dancing going. Us and our guests loved the style and way in which Dave was so adaptable to so many different music styles. Throughout the whole booking process, Dave asked us of the particular songs we would like during the ceremony to ensure our music was just how we wanted it. He was then incredible at working with the DJ and playing along with the set! We would highly recommend Dave for solo sax and more upbeat DJ sets – or both! Thank you so much, Dave!"

"We had The Cheers play at our wedding in April and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The band were great fun, very talented and got everyone dancing all night. They listened carefully to our song preferences and created a setlist that was perfect for our wedding style. In addition, they played our first song live which made our first dance extra special. They were professional, helpful and friendly, both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. The communication was clear throughout and they even arrived slightly earlier so that they weren't setting up during the wedding breakfast. We had been slightly unsure about whether to hire a band as the cost is much higher than a DJ, but we have absolutely no regrets at all, and we would most definitely recommend The Cheers to others."
