"Thames Valley String Quartet performed at our wedding on Saturday 4th May 2019 in Shrewsbury and we couldn’t be happier! They played as our guests arrived, the ceremony and reception drinks. From the initial enquiry we were extremely happy with the personal service we received from Kathryn, responses were helpful and quick - even when we were delayed ourselves. We took a while to decide on our song choices, but Kathryn and the rest of the group were very accommodating and played a huge range of styles for us, from a suggestion from the grooms grandad to learning a song especially for the groom (Final Fantasy sound track) which he absolutely loved for before the ceremony. On to classical and modern pop for the rest. Even though the sun was shining the air was cold being an outdoor ceremony but they all played through it like troopers to enable us to have our dream ceremony. Once again, a huge thank you to all of you in Thames Valley String Quartet for making the journey to be a part of our wedding day, both the two of us and our guests LOVED having you there and listening to you play. We highly recommend booking with Thames Valley String Quartet for any event with their diverse repertoire, skills and great personal service. Thank you again! "

"It was an absolute pleasure and delight meeting you on Saturday, you completely blew me away with expectations. I know that you had not had the best of weeks prior to Saturday, but please don’t let peoples opinions or actions define who you are as a person, or your passion. You are extremely talented and is a gift. So many people came to me and said how amazing you are! "If you are considering hiring Rory for your event 100% do it. Rory played at our wedding and completely blew us and our guests away, such a talent. Before our wedding we collaborated on what vibe we wanted to set, songs, some surprises for our guests and Rory completely understood the assignment and just continued to surprise and bring pure joy. Rory made our wedding the most magical, joyous and beautiful experience possible."

Hi Lyndsey, Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling great, although I can understand with the wedding and everything, with all the preparation and seeing so many people from your life in one go, it can be emotionally and physically draining. Do take plenty of rest and care of yourself. You deserve it! Thank you so much for your wonderful testimonial, really, it means the world to me! As you know, I had such joy contributing to your special day and I really appreciate your kindness and the energy of everyone at The Merlin. Thanks also for your understanding, Sarah-Jane was very supporting, she said that this wedding was what I needed right now, and like you said it was meant to be! You played beautifully and it set the tone for the drinks reception and breakfast perfectly. I would recommend you in a flash to anyone. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to thank you better on the day, but I was caught up in everything and the fact the sun was shining! Also thank you for playing our James Taylor songs and playing them again when you came into the marquee! I eventually got Mum and Dad to hear them!"

"Thank you so much Nigel for playing at our wedding, you were without a doubt one of the most important parts of our big day. Nigel is a talented pianist and flawless perfectionist, he easily perform all adhoc requests perfectly. The bridal party took longer than expected to arrive at the location for the ceremony and Nigel effortlessly filled the gap to the point where it seemed planned. My only regret is that I did not get to hear more of his performance due to the bride and groom photoshoot, from hearing the feedback from the guest we really missed out!!
