"My first impression is how well they all get on. There is a lot of laughter even as they are setting up their stuff. Jazz musicians can be a bit moody but this lot don't take themselves so seriously. They are talking and joking with everyone all the way through. And you can see as they play, they are changing the music based on whats happening. Always sounds great. First time I saw them was in our pub on a Sunday lunchtime and at the end all these kids and their mums wanted to have selfies taken with the band and they were just delighted, letting the kids hold the instruments, messing about for the cameras. Their positive attitude makes a world of difference. I'm not surprised they have done so well. Don't forget where you started! Definitely recommend them."

"Excellent communication prior to the wedding and helped us to choose our music. Very punctual on the day and they played our music so beautifully. Having the quintet added fantastic live music to the occasion. I would wholeheartedly recommend these musicians to anyone wanting live music. "

"Tom and the band were absolutely fantastic- nothing was too much trouble - they played an amazing set and the whole party agreed they were the best band they have seen! My husband and I have seen both Rogers Waters and David Gilmore and Tom and his band were just as good singing ‘wish you were here’- excellent! So glad we found them. "

"Hi Julian, Firstly I just wanted to apologise about not paying you on the day but lee made payment yesterday so if you could check that would be fab! Secondly I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and the band! You guys are the talk of the wedding! Honestly - the atmosphere and vibe in that courtyard was incredible and wouldn't have been the same without you there. I just wish we had been able to enjoy it a little more instead of being photographed haha but I know we will be pleased to have the photos in the long run! Anyway we really really cannot thank you enough for what you did on Friday it really was just perfect! Thank you for playing so beautifully in the ceremony too, when I pulled up and heard somewhere out there from American tail I just lost it haha- one of my all time fave films and such a love song! "Just to say thank you very, very much for such a great performance on Saturday night! The band was brilliant and made the evening – everyone raved (and is still raving!) about the music. It really couldn’t have been better and the fact that just about everyone was on the dance floor at one point says it all! Don’t think my 40th could have been more memorable – I had a blast!"

"I hired Matthew for my 50th birthday party and am so pleased that I did - he was exactly what I was looking for! I selected him on the basis of the quality that I saw on the website, and felt that he was even better in person. Being somewhat fussy, I was apprehensive about finding someone who could meet my needs, but Matthew suggested that we had a meeting before my event and we chatted through my ideas and preferences - as well as the things that I did not want! I came away feeling that he understood me and that we had connected, which was incredibly reassuring, and I was not let down on the night. Matthew is an incredibly talented singer and guitarist - recreating songs in a way that not only reflects the original, but often putting his own twist onto them in a way that keeps them fresh and interesting. His use of the loop pedal was particularly impressive! It was of note that so many of my guests commented on how good he was - they had a great time and really got into the swing of things as he gradually turned up the tempo and got everyone dancing. In doing so, he took requests, interacted with the crowd, showed a good sense of humour and came across and a fun, friendly and approachable guy. He played a wide range of songs, all of which reflected our discussion beforehand, with a great balance between those you might expect at a party and some 'surprises' that may be less common but worked equally well - if not better! I would definitely hire Matthew again, and would recommend him to pretty much anyone: he has a list of nearly 500 songs to choose from, and has a strict policy of not having a 'usual' setlist - instead preferring to engage in a discussion of what you'd like, so would be able to cater for all tastes - even mine! Thanks so much Matthew - you turned a great night into an incredible night!"
