"I feel compelled to write a quick note following your amazing work on Saturday. I’ve loved the full gamut of music you guys play since I was introduced to it in my early 20s. That music has become hugely important to me ever since. You played so beautifully, set the tone wonderfully and I know worked with the coordinator to play outside during the reception. It was more perfect than we could have imagined. Thank you all so much."

"What a fantastic night! This band absolutely smashed it! Great tunes, great musicians, great bunch of guys - so professional. Elevated the night from good to amazing, everyone was on the dance floor - we will be doing it all over again. Looking forward to booking them for our 30th anniversary at the end of the year. "Recently had It Takes 2 for my wife's 40th birthday party. They were amazing, guitar and singing first class. Lots of people dancing, and everyone commented on how good they were. Would definitely recommend and would love to see them again. Thanks both."

"We booked our wedding band with for our July 2021 wedding and the guys were absolutely phenomenal and even so much better than we were already expecting! They are great entertainers and made our day extra special. Everybody loved them and although we thought that it was going to be a calm and laid back evening, everyone ended up being on the dance floor and having fun! Thank you so much!"

"DJ Shel performed at Laura’s and my wedding, in the south of France in May 2017. He played guitar, sang vocals and DJ-ed, for the duration of the festivities. The whole day was an incredible success, and Shel was an integral part of that. In addition to his musical and DJing abilities, he is extremely communicative, helpful and adaptable. His experience and calm demeanour helped things run more smoothly. Throughout the whole process, pre-, during and post-wedding, he was really easy to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending using Shel, if you need a DJ and/or musician."

"For our wedding on 22nd April 2018 we had the absolute pleasure of having Blackbeard's Tea Party as our ceilidh band. They are an amazing band and had everyone up dancing throughout the ceilidh. If your planning on a ceilidh for your wedding then look no further they were professional throughout and we couldn't have asked for anything more!"

"Will & Alex provided an excellent play list to enable our party to get off to a great start for all the ages. They were very professional in there approach to the day but joined in to make it a family affair on the night. The feed back from the guests was very positive and we wouldn't hesitate to book them again for our next party Once again thanks very much chaps"
