"I booked Kellys Heroes to play at my 60th birthday party. You were amazing and everyone loved you. Everybody there was talking about how good you were, and they are still talking about it, even now. You were the main feature of the party which people remember! Of course, your excellent local reputation preceded you and that took some living up to - you did so admirably. I was worried that, with such a diverse group of guests, there would be awkward silences but Tony did a sterling job at getting people up on the dance floor and, once they started, they couldn’t stop. Quite a few of my friends commented that they forgot we were all hitting 60 and were dancing like young ‘uns. It says much for your music, though, that the real young ‘uns also joined in and it was a treat to see that younger Irish generation (because about 2/3 of the party were Irish) showing off their traditional dance skills to your music. Your song and tune selection was really excellent. Just the right balance, and lovely to have some songs which were favourites (Billy was completely made up with Carrickfergus) and others which were original compositions. Of course, the standard was – well – absolutely professional. It must be great to have such universal appeal. I can honestly say that your music hit the mark with both young and old; English and Irish – and even the small Greek contingent got up and learned a few dance moves! Your CD is being well-played on Corfu and in Athens now! I noticed a good few of the staff from the bar downstairs snuck in for a sneaky look too. "We hired It's No Reel Ceilidh Band for our wedding reception in May 2013, and were absolutely delighted with their professionalism, musicianship and the all round show. We appreciated their promptness and efficiency at responding to our queries and questions prior to wedding, and in fact, hiring them was one of the most stress-free and easiest parts of planning our wedding. Our guests were a mixture of seasoned Ceilidhers and complete novices, and everyone commented on how good the band were and what a great evening of dancing it was (the music, dancing and calling were excellent). As someone who took part in many Ceilidh's as a teenager, I have high expectations of what a ceilidh band should sound like, and these were met and far exceeded by Tom and the boys. We would heartily recommend 'It's No Reel' to anyone planning a Ceilidh no matter what the occasion. Thanks for a fabulous and memorable evening of dancing."

"What a fabulous party we had with everyone entering into the spirit of the ceilidh! The music was great and the caller was exceptionally patient with the disproportionate number of young men at the party. It was a really mixed crowd – plenty of teens and twenties, through to those in their eighties. The dance floor was full throughout the evening and everyone, both young and old joined in, including the determined non dancers. Several people commented on what a lovely time they’d had. I’m very happy to recommend the band."

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh made my parents' 40th anniversary a roaring success! They were punctual, extremely organised, and so very talented. Excellent callers had everyone dancing, laughing and having fun and the music was fabulous. They played well known dances and some new ones which were great. They were also brilliant as they played beautiful interim music whenever needed to give people a chance to catch their breath and have a drink but not miss any dances if they wished. They gave us extra dances at the end and a few people have already taken their details for further events. A superb find, fantastic value and thank you so much. We will definitely be contacting you again in the future!"

"I spoke with Patrick a few weeks before the event. We talked for a while about song requests and the type of event, the venue and the type of event it was. The band all got to the venue early to set up and sound check. They played all the songs we requested and the quality of the music and the performance was faultless. The band truly are very talented musicians who love what they do and this shows in their performance. They engaged with the crowd and really made our celebration entertaining and fun. We loved it and would book them again tomorrow if we had any energy left from all the dancing. Real first-class act"
