"These guys have a great repertoire of over 80 songs but what makes them stand out is their ability to engage the audience. Providing chorus sheets helped but everyone was really up for joining in and it was clear they were having great fun too. A brilliant night!!"

"The band were great and I would book them again without hesitation. They managed to juggle the music preferences of the guest and reacting to the audience perfectly. Including some group dancing was genius and one of my favourite parts of the night. It was a great way for guests to interact and encourage some mixing and mingling. Professional set up. Loved it. Thank you."

"The Shooglers delivered a fun and lively ceilidh and dealt with some organisational glitches on our side very professionally and without complaint. Our timings had drifted badly and the disco we had booked took all the space we had reserved for The Shooglers. The band was very professional, and flexible and set up at the other end of the marquee and delivered a very professional, fun ceilidh. "

"A few friends and I went to see G Celtic Folk Rock Band in Pontefract on Friday. What a fantastic talented bunch of musicians these guys are. They delivered punchy folk rock songs, which are mostly their own with a few individual interpretations of some classics throughout the night. Brilliant stuff and highly entertaining. A great venue too, and cannot wait for them to return."

"We recently had Tim Barton play at our wedding and could not recommend him highly enough. He is friendly, professional, an amazing performer and nothing was too much trouble. All of our guests have complimented us on our choice of artist and we believe he was an integral part of creating a great atmosphere and vibe. During the welcome drinks he had the chilled and relaxed vibe we wanted and later on he had the whole place singing along with him. Tim even played an extra hour; when I offered him some more money he just said he was having a great time and was happy to do it."

"No one talks about our wedding without mentioning the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band. These talented musicians provided the perfect end to the perfect day. Somehow everyone, even the shyest of our guests, got up and danced the night away with the infectious enthusiasm of the band. The ceilidh provided a relaxed, fun way for all of our guests to mix and meet one another, and allowed us to dance with everyone! Both myself and my husband adore folk music, and we could not have chosen a friendlier, more talented band than the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band. A particular highlight was when the band performed a traditional wedding piece, where all of our guests danced around us who were sat in the middle! I cannot recommend this band enough, wonderfully warm people with superb talent. Obviously we were on a budget paying for a whole wedding, but these guys are very reasonably priced and deliver much more than the price we paid. Thank you all very, very much for giving us the wedding reception we dreamed of."

"Hi Davie, Hope you and the guys got home safely last night. Davie, what can I say, you guys are the most amazing team, the whole night was absolutely fantastic, couldn't have asked for anything better. Only problem was I ran out of shoogleness and had to get a breather and realised I was missing more while I was outside, what a bummer! Please be assured that I will be giving out loads of Shoogly recommendations, and I hope very much to hire your services again at some time in the future! All the very best to you all for the future. "First time ive used Lastminutemusicians so happy i came across it online. Easy to use website, choose a musician by Area,Genre,Solo or Band & Budget. I chose Jack M a solo acoustic singer/guitarist. He managed a special request for me by learning to sing & play a song he hadnt done before at very short notice. Guests at the party wouldnt have known and thought he had been performing it for years it was perfect. In fact his whole set was perfect. Would love to see Jack M at one of his own gigs in the future. I will recommend lastminutemusicians & Jack M to anyone."
