"The ceilidh band were amazing! Our gala evening was especially for a group of 10 year olds but adults attended too. The caller, Mick, explained the steps clearly for them to follow, and used children and adults to demonstrate so they could follow. The music was lively, loud and energetic and everyone got up to dance! We have booked the band before and I would definitely book the band again. Thank you for making our evening such a great success."

"The singer we have picked for our church wedding pulled out less than a month before our wedding so we were looking around to find a singer to take her place. I am so grateful we found Alice and she was fortunately available. Thank God! It was the best decision we had made. Her angelic voice blew us all away and made our day. So many guests came up to us to tell us how much they enjoyed her performance that day. I love her voice so much that I am trying to find an event to arrange so I can use her again :) If you ever need a singer, I would not have any hesitation in recommending Alice. It would be the best decision you have made. "

"We had The Pharaoh's do an acoustic set at our Wedding a few weeks ago and oh my gosh they were fantastic! They had a huge range of songs for us to choose from and it created such a lovely atmosphere before we had our evening DJ. The fact that there's an option to have the whole band play or just an acoustic set with the 2 of them is great! Looking forward to attending some of their gigs in the near future and will definitely be using them again for any upcoming events. Thanks guys for helping to make our wedding extra special!"

"It is Monday morning and we have just said goodbye to the last of our guests. Everyone, young and old, from near and far, had the most fantastic time and this was in very large part due to the quite outstanding entertainment you provided. You had the knack of getting everyone up onto the dance floor and enjoying themselves enormously. The music was great, the calling was quite the best I have experienced, and the whole evening was perfect, an outstanding end to an already memorable birthday celebration. "Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "We had the band at the evening reception at our wedding last week, and they were amazing! Everyone was up and dancing throughout the night. They also played our first dance song which was incredible. So many of our guests commented on how good the band were. Also very good communication, and everything was on time. Would highly recommend."

"We booked Kingfisher to play for my daughter’s festival-themed Hen and Birthday celebration. Communication with Gary was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. Everything went exactly as planned and the band were awesome. This was our first time booking a band so a massive thank you to Kingfisher for making it a day to remember."
