Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"My 40th birthday party was fast approaching and I made the decision to try and find a band as both my friends and I love to dance. A good friend recommended Goldsworth Gerry so I found where they were next playing and a group of us headed over to listen to them at a local pub. We had the best night and I didn’t hesitate to book them, they played music I have on my ipod and I love the way Martin sings so it was an easy decision to make. Martin was professional throughout our correspondence, learning four songs that meant the world to me and allowing me to organise the set list for the night. The songs they learnt I chose and then off they went to learn them and pull them together for my party night. On the night Goldsworth Gerry were there before I was!! All set up and ready to go. The music they played had everyone up and dancing, but it was the songs they learnt especially for my party were what truly made the night. Absolutely amazing night, just the way I dreamed it would be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Goldsworth Gerry; reliable, professional and a quality band that ensures everyone is up and dancing."

"I booked the quartet for my wedding ceremony as string instruments have always been our favourite. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Everything flowed perfectly from being in contact with Sean about what pieces of music we wanted to how beautiful it sounded in the church. "Booked this lovely band for our 25th wedding anniversary. The Fireflies had great communication from start to finish, they listened to our wishes and suggestions and did a great job entertaining our guests. Everybody was up dancing and singing with them, they were very welcoming and always checked in to whether we were happy and if we had any other requests. Such a fun band, they were great would really recommend."

"We met Rachel and Peter, The Upbeats Duo, on a cruise and loved their show so much, we bought the CD. Two years later, we got in touch with them to see if they could play at my husband’s 70th birthday. We were delighted when they said yes. We thought that pleasing an age range from 19 to 70 would be a struggle, but no, the Upbeats catered for all of us. Rachel and Peter are an absolutely delightful couple, immensely talented with various instruments and singing. The dance floor was hopping from the get-go until we had to finish. The encores would still be going on now, but sadly we had to eventually stop the evening. Have your entertainment provided by Rachel and Peter and you won’t be disappointed. Oh and they’re both utterly gorgeous too!"

"We had an AMAZING time! The band were incredible - after we sorted out the wind logistics we were off! Everyone has said how amazing the ceilidh was and we couldn't agree more it was so much fun (watching a bunch of English people try to learn the gay Gordon's was hilarious) Thank you so much again!"

"This was honestly the highlight of our event, and we are absolutely glad we went with The Upbeat Duo, from start to finish the communication was fantastic, no ask was too much, really flexible and willing to work with us and our timings and last but definitely not the least the entire setup and the music was phenomenal, these are two very very talented individuals who are willing to go the extra mile to make your event unforgettable. "Before the wedding, George and Grace were in regular contact to see if we needed any help with anything and also to see how we wanted the sets played and if there were any in particular song requests. On the night the band were absolutely amazing - they got everyone up on the dance floor and the music was incredible. The playlist that the band came with was definitely right for a wedding. The band also played our first dance, which made the day even more special. A huge thank you to George, Grace and all of the band for listening to what we wanted and making the evening everything we wanted!"
