"We booked Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a sixtieth birthday party. Very much a family event, so all ages including children, who particularly enjoyed it, although everyone had a really great time. One of the parents told me that her little one has decided that a ceilidh is the very best kind of birthday party, so the bar was set high for all future birthdays there! A few people knew the dances already, but most didn’t, and our caller guided us through each dance so that everyone could join in the fun! The atmosphere was lovely, and the musicians were impressive, plus really lovely people who were accommodating, helpful and great fun. I would definitely recommend them; they were fantastic, and the whole evening was an absolute joy. The only thing now is to find a good reason to do it all again!"

"We booked Steven for our 15 year celebrations at the iconic Paisley Town Hall and we had a fabulous time. The vibe was exactly what I wanted for a summer evening and Steve obliged playing his sax to some great Ibiza classic tunes "

"Paul was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Music was always going to be a big part of our wedding day and we found the perfect musician in Paul. He learned and performed two songs at our request to absolute perfection. Paul is very accommodating and flexible with requirements. He is also excellent with his organisation and communication. He really went the extra mile for us and gave us memories to last a lifetime. A top guy and a first class musician. Can not rate him highly enough"

"We booked Astri Strings for our celebration event at The Post Barn, Newbury. Jude was a delight to deal with during the booking stage, gave us a lovely pre-event call to check everything was in order and arrived as planned on the day. Jude and Vicki provided the perfect background music for our event with a gorgeous mix of Classical and Bridgerton style music to welcome guests arriving. Everyone appreciated having live musicians as they looked fabulous and sounded fantastic. Thank you both, from the WD Farmers team, for making our event extra special. July 2024 "

"Vikki, as we say in East Yorkshire, is a 'good 'un'. Apart from being a superb musician on both cello and electric piano, she is a very pleasant, professional person and made us feel very much at ease in the lead up to her performance. Vikki performed during what was probably the noisiest part of her event so full marks to her for playing in 'testing' circumstances, she received a standing ovation from her audience and this was richly deserved. I would not hesitate to recommend Vikki and she will certainly be very welcome back at Kilpin anytime."

"We absolutely loved having you perform at our wedding so thank you :)  "Rory played at our wedding in London and was such a great choice for our big day. He was really easy to communicate with in the lead up which meant all our requests were performed on the day. Everyone commented what a lovely addition Rory was for when our guests arrived and into the post ceremony drinks reception, creating the exact atmosphere we had hoped for. "Hi All Just to let you know I've had so many messages of how everyone has enjoyed themselves. I was nervous about how it would all turn out, mixing the disco with the band and having not met you all before but it flowed beautifully. The money raised is rising and we have now made £2750 with a possibility of making it to £3000. Thanks again all!"

"My husband and I wanted to plan a wedding day that combined all our passions and interests, and we were so lucky to find Fann Street Hot Club. For a reasonable price, they kept everyone dancing all afternoon, playing all the gypsy jazz tunes we've loved for years. Our memories of that day will always be so special to us, and we'll always hear the soundtrack of the band playing our favourite music when we look back and remember. Thank you so much to Jan, James, Alex and Ruben for their magical playing on the 15th May!"
