"The multimdeia presentation by Dave Merrick on the Origins of Jazz attracted an audience of more than sixty, with an encouraging number of young people. The recordings of New Orleans parade bands and others were used to illustrate the evening with Brendan Whitmore and Natalie Davis adding the live experience. Dave (Guitar) Natalie and Brendan had previously presented a Billie Holiday show at Bath's American Museum, which was a sell out with the demand for tickets exceeding the capacity by quite a margin. This is a welcome development to raise awareness to a new and younger audience of the music that has been so much of Just Jazz readers' lives especially as it is by musicians from the jazz world. - Robert Coles, Just Jazz (The Traditional Jazz Magazine) (Aug 10, 2016)"

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one. "

"Thanks to you and your fellow band members for helping us have such a wonderful time on Saturday at Ruth and Luke's wedding. As we get back to normal my wife, Ros and I just wanted to say thanks. Ruth and Luke have escaped to the sun for a short break but I know they were very pleased with the whole day."

"Thank again for playing for us at our wedding - you were absolutely fantastic on the day and were also a pleasure to deal with in the run up to our big day. As I mentioned on the day, we had quite a few musicians amongst our guests who were all very impressed with you. Greg (the Owner) also thought you were fantastic. We had so many comments from people on the day saying how good you were and we thought you helped to create a great atmosphere, plus you were great to Lindy hop to! "Dale & the band.Thanks for making Mike & Lisa’s big day special. Without your music the whole day would not have flowed as beautifully as it did. The musical collection (and the way we could choose our favourite tunes) was excellent and catered for all the different tastes on the night. All the guests loved the range of numbers which were played in a very professional manner and the night just went too quickly. We’d certainly recommend you again to anyone wanting a live band for any style of future event. Best regards Jon & Cath Baines --- My husband Mike and I were extremely happy with the funky tunes which Funk ‘n’ Soul did at our wedding. Everybody commented on how good they were which was great to hear. What was  really special though was that the band sang our first dance – Al Green ‘Lets Stay Together – which was AMAZING! Their music was perfect for our get together and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any occasion where smooth jazz, mixed with a few standards, was the order of the day.
