"Unrecognised genius The Arsenal Tavern, Finsbury Park on Saturday 25 June 2022 That headline was a quote from DAVID BOWIE in Mojo Magazine about Billy RItchie, the keyboard player of MAYHEM, and could easily apply to the band itself. I reviewed them before, having been hugely impressed by the stunning harmonies and clever use of backing tracks, but I have to say, the new incarnation is even better, with Billy on Keyboards and Carol singing with even more assurance as when I first saw them a few years ago. DAVID BOWIE's comment is seen to be apt, the keyboards adding yet another dimension to what was already a very fine band/duo. I went to The Arsenal Tavern to catch the band, out of curiosity, especially when I noted the addition of keyboards. What a nice venue, rather a shame that the crowd was relatively quiet for a Saturday night, but they did warm up in the end - more than that, there was whooping and hollering as Carol and Billy sang "Don't Stop me Now" by Queen and "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen, among many other fine renditions of popular and very danceable songs, including Carol's stirring version of "Feel like a Woman" and Billy's rousing "Light my Fire" with its stunning organ solo and vocal climax producing a roar from the crowd before the song even ended. I still sense that this band has yet more to offer, some of the material could be considered rather lightweight and perhaps too populist, for such a credible force as MAYHEM are. We had a small but great crowd in, but we would definitely like to book another date in with you guys for the start of summer because the song choices were great, sound level was great, and honestly was all fabulous, one of the best bands we've had for a while so we think you guys deserve a bigger crowd! "Both we and our guests loved Prairie Moon & they helped to make it a brilliant evening. They kindly learnt a few new songs for us, including for our first dance & they also involved us in picking the other songs, which was great. We were worried some guests might not like the country theme but did not need to. They received lots of compliments from impressed guests and we can thoroughly recommend them! "

Your name is painted in Gold to my guests as everyone was so surprised and impressed by your act. The professionalism and fun you created throughout the night was incredible. Absolutely the best money spent on the night, which has lead to memories and pictures that will last a lifetime. "The Cheers tailored our setlist by establishing which of their songs we liked/disliked etc as well as taking into account the age demographic of the wedding, and they even learnt our first dance song so they could play it live! Communication leading up to the wedding was very good, the band arrived and set up on time, and were even able to provide the background music whilst we ate, as well as use of the microphones for the speeches. The band's performance was superb and had everybody dancing and engaged. Would highly recommend The Cheers!"

"The band played for my 50th and made us all feel part of a truly fantastic musical experience. They are brilliant! The lead singer worked so well with the audience and even let a family member get up and sing! We felt they were part of our party and brought heart and soul to the table. They had a underground dance feel and we couldn’t believe we actually had some of our favourite songs played by the original artists. They were so understated and nice - it was only after they finished that we found out who they were. (-:"

"The band were great, right the way through from booking to setting up on the day. They closed the first day of our event and everyone loved them. We had a range of ages and they had everyone up and dancing. I received so many comments about how good they were. Would highly recommend and would definitely book them again."

"Gemma is quite simply AMAZING!!! She sang at our wedding in 2010 and her beautiful voice completely blew our guests away! Her rendition of O Mio Babbino Caro was absolutely breathtaking!! I cannot recommend Gemma highly enough, she is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and if you don't hire her for your special day, you will be missing out on the most magical experience!"
