Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Careful thought was taken in finding the right band and genre of music that would compliment our formal charity dinner held at Britannia Royal Naval College in October 2013. The band provided a superb tailored set of soft jazz and virtuoso performances which delighted the guests. The band delivered. A rich performance, utilising the natural acoustic qualities of the quarterdeck for the reception was followed, after dinner, with a cosy intimate set in the Senior Gunroom bar. The band delivered. They were simply outstanding, producing exactly what was required to make this special event so memorable. I can not recommend them highly enough!"

"Taylormade played at our wedding at Dodmoor House a few weeks ago and we couldn’t recommend them enough. They learnt our favourite song ‘Mr Blue Sky’ to walk down the aisle and their cover was even better than we imagined. They played our ceremony, drinks reception, early evening (would definitely recommend this as it was a great way to welcome evening guests), first dance and a DJ set in the evening. From the initial enquiry, all the way up to our wedding the communication was brilliant. Thank you for making our special day amazing!"

"When planning our wedding my husband Ben and I were looking for a small band to play outdoors for our guests in the evening, our after party was a little unusual due to it being in my Mum's garden with limited space and access to power we were unsure that having a band would even be possible. All our fears were put to rest as soon as we found The Hot Hats, Alfie assured us that it wouldn't be a problem at all and they would work around the venue with us. The whole process of working with Alfie was a total pleasure, from first contact via email to partying with us in the evening. The music was fantastic all of my guests commented on how brilliant the band were and were devastated when the set had to end! We can't thank Alfie and his team enough for the splendid job they did, we are already looking for an excuse to book them again! Amy & Ben Williams"

"Glori's music has resonance not just in her natural ability to sing powerfully & sensually whenever is required but her emotional investment in her singing evokes a deeply personal connection to her music that does not subside upon repeated listenings such is the timeless appeal of her approach to her creativity she equally demonstrates a warm gratification towards her live audience that further connects/bonds you to her music she has equal rapport/ warmth with her bandmates, her written material/lyrics evoke a deep story laid out that when further espoused by her between songs even further showing the deeper creative thoughts behind her lyrics being more than just song but soulful music with underlying meaning & importance being told, she is a talent that is born from life experience & every ounce of that is poured and expressed and exposed and laid bare in her music for all to see and admire but most importantly hear/learn & feel moved by! "

"Your repertoire of music was exactly as we requested. To please such a wide age range from 10 year old to 80 year old is some achievement. "GG is an outstanding performer, energetic, passionate and soulful with a wonderful voice, our guests really enjoyed her smooth blend of Motown and rnb classics and we can't wait to have her back again! Very punctual, reliable , offered a set list to us but we gave a rough brief of the vibe we wanted and left it to GG who totally wowed with her selection of songs and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy - Thanks Gloria - a true artist. "We first met Alfie when we were on our way back from the church to our wedding reception … We saw a man suited up and wearing a hat running past our horse and carriage .. calling out to us that he thought his band were playing at our wedding but that they were lost (due to the sign of the manor house not being visible)….. they followed us the rest of the way! Fab band, fab guys … All our guests loved them .. great music and really friendly .. we would highly recommend the Hot Hats without a second thought! Really down to earth and lovely people .. perfect for our intimate wedding reception. Another big thank you from us both."

"Very many thanks to FOB. You were awesome! At the Reel club ceilidh last Monday, there was a great band, and enthusiastic dancers, but very few of them, which seemed a poor omen. However, I needn't have worried – what a contrast last night! More than double the numbers, a complete sell out!
