"We thought Down for the Count did an outstanding job and so did all of our friends and family. Everyone could not stop raving about how great the music was. Honestly, we wouldn't have changed a thing and were so impressed. Most of all, it was so special to hear New York, New York as a closing song and we really appreciate your initiative to create those extra special touches for us! Without a doubt, we would recommend Down for the Count to any other friends getting married."

"Elma has been a fantastic professional to work with. She has been all over the UK with us, playing with us when we went on tour supporting the Wailers and in massive venues including O2 Academy Birmingham. She showed commitment and flexibility coming to all the rehearsals at short notice and became fluent with her parts very quickly. Elma is a very positive and optimistic individual who is adaptable and a joy to work with."

"Alec performed at our wedding together with Sodhi on tabla. They provided a wonderful musical backset to our ceremony and dinner party, which made a beautiful impression on all our guests. We requested some specific tunes we wanted them to play while we walked down the aisle, which they did. They were also very friendly with our guests and were even able to perform some unexpected requests. "

"Amel R has played regularly for my late night cocktail bar. She not only has a great sound but a brilliant rapport with customers; she gets and uplifts the vibe perfectly and even remembers to prompt customers to order more drinks! "

"Just wanted to thank the Black Velvet Band for a really great evening last Saturday. They were excellent musicians and the caller was superb (very patient with the Danish contingent who took some time to get the hang of the instructions!) What I particularly appreciate is how considerate and adaptable the band was regarding my wishes. I had lovely time and have had a lot of positive comments from my guests."

"When planning our wedding it was important to me that our guests were entertained while we were having our photographs taken, and simply providing drinks and nibbles didn’t seem enough. However, it proved harder than I imagined to find exactly the right entertainment from the hundreds of musicians out there, that was until I stumbled across Acoustic Space. So many of our guests complimented us on our choice of this wonderful acoustic duo, who created the perfect ambience during our drinks reception, playing well known songs but in a softer, more captivating way. Just perfect."

"Dear Francis and Janet – I just wanted to write and thank you both for such a lovely, friendly and ebullient performance on Sunday – it was just as I hoped – your cheerfulness and choice of material was spot on and I had lots of remarks afterwards as to how much everyone enjoyed themselves. "For our Wedding, Ley played the classical guitar for us during the Wedding Breakfast, and it created a fantastic ambience for the meal. He also played at our Evening Reception, and it is wonderful to look back at some great pictures of a dance floor packed with our guests.  The clever thing about his music for a wedding is that it spans the generations so everyone joins in. I know that my father was thrilled to be granted a wish to have his special song played for me at my wedding.  Ley learned the song especially and kept it as a surprise for me on the day. Ley also learned ‘our song’ for the First Dance. He performed a fantastic version of the original, it was amazing as all he was given was a CD to listen to. It was such a great personal touch to make the day extra special."
