"I can't speak highly enough of these guys. They played our wedding day with both an acoustic day set and a very lively evening set. Their playlist was excellent, with a very varied choice of music, all of which fit the atmosphere of the day perfectly. We had requested a specific first dance, which the band had offered to learn from scratch and it turned out to be perfect. Throughout the day just about everyone one of our guests had approached either my wife or I to enquire as to where these guys had come from - even more so in the evening when the drinks were flowing and the dance floor was overflowing!! All I can really say is that if you are considering booking The Johnhouse Duo for any occasion and are slightly undecided at this point, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed. Awesome Band"

"Booked this lovely band for our 25th wedding anniversary. The Fireflies had great communication from start to finish, they listened to our wishes and suggestions and did a great job entertaining our guests. Everybody was up dancing and singing with them, they were very welcoming and always checked in to whether we were happy and if we had any other requests. Such a fun band, they were great would really recommend."

"We booked Groove Allstars to play at our wedding last month. They were absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our whole day! They made our first dance feel very special and it really set the tone for the rest of the night - it really felt like a proper party. The band are very slick and professional (with excellent sound mixing) and the booking/liaising process was very easy. When we've spoken to our guests since the wedding, everyone has commented on how brilliant Groove Allstars were. A huge thank you! "Davie,Nicky and I are just back from a trip up north and have only now got 'connected' to the outside world again. Just a wee note to thank you and the rest the Shooglers for an amazing ceilidh at our wedding at Lunga. We loved it and everyone else did too, more than a few folk took your cards and are trying to think of an excuse to have their own ceilidh and book you guys for it! We'll keep an eye on the local ceilidh clubs and if you’re playing in this part of the world again and we'll get ourselves along to it. Thanks again. "

"After having had an awful 2022 Matt and I decided to throw a party, we had about 45 people in mind to invite but we wanted a band. I’m always put off by huge ones that you can never really hear the voices and your head and ears ache from the constant boom boom. Finding Alfie on a google search was exciting, they sounded exactly what we were looking for, for our intimate gathering. No problem at all to deal with prior to booking, which was simple and clear, we didn’t know at that time we were in for a treat, wow, the evening was absolutely superb. Alfie and Owens sound is brilliant, you can clearly hear the songs and the music, great vocals, no ear ache, just super super sounds coming from them. The choice of music suited our evening, and the requested songs to play were no problem. They integrated with our guests, some ‘hot’ to handle, and everyone had a fantastic evening, a massive thanks to you guys, it felt like we had friends with us, not a hired in band - and yes, we will see you again! (If you’ll come back that is!)"

"We could not be more delighted that Big Smoke Brass played at our wedding. Everyone told us how much they enjoyed their set and how much it contributed to the overall enjoyment of our day - the dance floor was packed throughout. They were so easy to communicate with also. We cannot recommend them highly enough."

"Well, we went along to the Clutha benefit gig in The Classic Grand, there were such a choice of great bands to choose from on 2 floors, The Mrs & I were downstairs as it was mostly rock bands and we had a seat, so the bands changed again & again until I heard the next band was a Ceilidh band, quite a few were looking around sort of laughing as if how’s this gonna fit in with the night, so there's now quite a few people sitting down waiting, so on comes as expected the usual accordion, fiddle,drummer & guitarist set up, and then it began, the accordion started then in came the fiddle then this electric rock guitar and ass-kicking rock drum beat, and low and behold before you know it everybody's on their feet standing poking their heads up and down to see who the hell was making this amazingly blended sound of rock & Scottish folk, the accordion player’s fingers were impossible to track as they rolled up and down the board, and the fiddle was just about glowing to match, topped off with a great guitar and drums, with bits of Pink Floyd through to Miley Cyrus flung in, hard to believe but true, and all served up for your ears to savour at 100 mph, the whole place became electric, it was amazing to listen to and stunning to watch, I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this band, We got talking to David (the accordion player) and his family afterwards and found him such a laugh & such a nice family, highlight of the night, so thanks to The Shooglers your time & talent is very well spent and it shows cheers. "

"I booked The Backbeats for my dad's 80th Birthday party and I am so glad I did! Commnication from booking up until the night was great. Such lovely people. The music was amazing, everybody loved them and had the best time! I would highly recommend the band and I wouldn't hesitate to book them again! "

"Both my wife and I had the most incredible wedding day on 24/08/19, and your evening set was awesome from start to finish (we were blown away by your version of our request and the surprise of playing our wedding song at the very end!). We cannot thank you enough for an absolutely brilliant evening and for creating a superb atmosphere, along with fun memories. The guests loved you, proven by the fact that the dance floor was busy all night! It was a real pleasure having you celebrate our special day with us and we will certainly see you again in the near future, ready to rock out all over again! Hope you took lots of cake (if Wil didn’t get there first) and that you have a great time at your second gig in 24 hours.
