" I want to say a huge thanks to everyone in the orchestra, and particularly to you for being so supportive and sharing your experience and expertise on what has felt like a huge personal journey for me with Gerontius. The most difficult thing about delivering the piece is in managing the demands Elgar makes whilst always being present in the moment and understanding the purpose. It is a truly unique piece of music and I could not have wished for a more wonderful and confident group of players. They brought fierce resilience, skill, kindness and understanding, and a huge range of expression making anything possible. Best of all, it felt like we were all working as one team.  "

" Solo Cello Laura was amazing, she was so accommodating to my needs and doing a suprise performance outside for a proposal. She was also lovely and created the perfect moment for the proposal. Can't wait to have her play again at our wedding!"

"The band were fantastic on the night and a joy to deal with throughout. They really delivered in line with expectations for what was an ambitious and high profile event for our club. Talented musicians that were great to observe and enjoy from a seated position and equally from the dance floor which spilled over on more than one occasion. "I would like to say that I feel privileged to have had Melisma performing at our retirement party. Everything about Melisma Jazz band was wonderful, they all looked very smart and professional and their performance was absolutley fantastic. Many asked where I had found them and others just thought I knew Sarah-Jane personally as she was so friendly! I cannot thank Melisma Jazz enough for making our event such a wounderful success, we will have lovely memories of the afternoon which seemed to end too soon - I just wanted them to play on and on! Thank you all so very, very much."
