Review Centre: 1970s & 80s Style Bands

"Please thank the band so much, we truly think they made the occasion all the more special. They definitely added a WOW factor. Our guests have all commented on how great they were. They allowed and actively encouraged audience participation which delighted many of our guests (especially the ones who could actually sing!). They arrived early and were very accommodating to our schedule as we did run slightly behind. Having the band join in our first dance song saw the dance floor filled from beginning to end. Hopefully they enjoyed the night, the brides certainly woke up having thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The process of booking, setting up and the actual event was all too easy. Thank you for your help in arranging all of our particular requests and getting us started with the spotify list, it made our job of organising this wedding that much easier."

"So glad we booked this band – May 2023! They were great to deal with in advance and even learned a new song for us for our first dance. On the night they were so professional and just made the whole evening. We had so many compliments about them! They really know how to get everyone going and let their hair down."

"The choice of band proved to be the perfect one. I booked five musicians to play swing and jazz for while our guests were dining. Little did I know a family member had arranged a special song close to me and my wife to be performed at the end. Everybody joined us to dance and the band went into some Motown songs and everyone kept dancing for an extra half an hour. I am so grateful to James and the band for their efforts. Brilliant musicians, but it goes beyond just playing music, they care about fine details to make your event special and were so charming with guests and family members. I had everybody comment on the entertainment and I personally recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls!"

"Girls I don’t know where to start. After having your Abba Sisters show for my 50th birthday it was such a success I knew I wanted to stick with Abba again for my next big party but this time with a Mamma Mia Here We Go Again theme. The Mia Mammas were the perfect choice to keep us entertained and my goodness did you!!!! What an amazing show and fabulous costumes. Seeing all my friends and family fill the dancefloor within the first minute was just what I wanted and thank you for letting me have my starring moment complete with feather boa. Simply amazing. My only worry is how I top it next time! "

"The band were very professional, both leading up to our wedding and also on the day itself. More importantly they sounded absolutely awesome, everyone was dancing from the first song through to the last and they obviously gave it everything for the whole night. They helped create exactly the atmosphere that we were after in the evening. I would have absolutely no hesitation in booking them again."

"We had our wedding on the 5th July, and The Secret could not have been a better choice. Without doubt they made our wedding. They were super professional and Marco did everything we requested, he even let us put together a list of songs that we wanted. The star of the show was Sulene, what a front girl and performer. She was bursting with energy and had an incredible and powerful voice. The band started the whole event with "Somebody Else's Guy", which is a really tough song to start off with. Sulene blew our socks off with this! Not only that, she even let some of guests sing along and did some duos with my friends! The band really got involved with the crowd and this made our day really special! Would 100% recommend these guys any time!"

"I recently had Absolute Company play at my wedding, what a wonderful experience. The floor didn't empty from the start of the night to the finish. No request was too big, we had asked they join in part way through our first dance song, which they agreed to do and it made the occasion all that more special, the floor was filled within moments. As with most weddings our schedule was over running, the band fit in with us every step of the way, they were polite, professional and friendly, it was an absolute pleasure to have them part of our special day. All of our guests commented on how great it was to have a live band. If you are thinking of a live band for your next event I can highly recommend Absolute Company."
