Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"We hired Thomas at the Sunny Steel Band for a 2 hour workshop to teach a group of 30 of us for our corporate team building day. From start to finish Thomas was great, from initial enquiries about booking the band through to when the workshop had finished. He was very informative, polite and attentive. The workshop itself was brilliant as well. We had chosen a couple of songs with Thomas that we wanted to learn prior to the day. Thomas was a great teacher, not only teaching us how to play but the history behind the steel drums and how learning and playing the drums can help us to understand how we all work differently. There were some of the team on the drums whilst the rest were on percussion instruments and we swapped in and out so that everyone got a go on each instrument. At the end of the workshop Thomas played the songs how they should have sounded like(!) and even played a couple of songs upon request so we could hear how the drums can really should sound! Everyone had a great day and I highly recommend the Sunny Steel Band for any corporate team building workshop, we will definitely keep them in mind for further workshops and events we may have. "

"Crimson Sky performed at our wedding and were out of this world. The dance floor was packed all night long, an amazing range of songs from different eras. They arrived perfectly on time and set-up without any fuss. They are all lovely guys and slotted in to our day perfectly. "Corporate parties can sometimes feel a bit stiff—but not this one. Thanks to this amazing Latin duo, especially the fantastic female singer, our company event turned into a full-on celebration. She had such a warm, charismatic presence on stage—graceful, but with just the right amount of cheeky charm. After a few soulful numbers during dinner, she took the mic, flashed a smile, and invited everyone to get on their feet. And to our surprise… people actually did! Within minutes, colleagues who never leave their desks were swaying, clapping, even dancing. It was joyful, completely unforced, and exactly what we needed after a long year. The music was familiar but fresh, with Latin rhythms that gave the old-school hits a fun new energy. They were professional, engaging, and clearly know how to read a room. A class act from start to finish—and we’ll definitely be booking them again."

"We booked the Haystacks for 2 1hr band sets and a DJ set. They were absolutely amazing, all the guests were up dancing and singing along. Rachel was great at keeping in touch leading up to the Wedding and they learnt an Australian song for our first dance and the version was perfect. We would highly recommend. "

"Absolutely cannot rate this band more highly and would get them booked immediately if you have the chance! Booked Soul Messengers for a hen party and they did not disappoint. They came with a collection of crowd-pleasing songs, stunning vocals and incredible guitar playing, but not only this, amazing personalities and the fun factor which was needed for the occasion. They were very professional from booking, confirming details, checking in before the event and then the event itself. The real highlight of our weekend. They were an incredible talent and even more fun!!!"
