Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"I came across Moon River several months ago and knew that these accomplished and charming musicians were going to be perfect for my project. They have proved to be extremely versatile in their programme of music, right across the board. I wanted the Trio to play for a Tea Dance of Swing music from the 40s and 50s, and they came up with some wonderful arrangements. I would recommend these enthusiastic, happy, committed and very professional musicians for any event. They will definitely be coming back to our Cafe in the near future."

"We booked Vaska Ensemble to play a private recital for my Mum's 85th birthday. There are no other words than to say that they were just incredible and such a pleasure to work with. They very helpful in advising and choosing the repertoire for their performance, which went fantastic! . My mum and the audience were absolutely thrilled! I highly recommend Vaska Ensemble, as they are super professional and a top quality ensemble! Thank you for making this birthday so special! "

"Gloria and her guitarist came to sing at my mothers 70th ... I found Gloria through a recommendation and I was so pleased when she was able to do it . From the first point of contact through emails , she came across so kind and wanting to make sure we had the best music experience with her - and then when you meet her she is the most warm, beautiful smiley person... the night was a huge success - Gloria’s singing voice is stunning which I knew already and she just sings with such effortlessness ... I highly highly recommend Gloria and hope to see her perform again very soon! Thank you Gloria for making my mums birthday so special - you literally made the night !! "

"So many of our guests commented on how good Sheldon and his band were on the day. They played at my brothers wake which we knew would be a difficult occasion but they were so professional. Sheldon was very accommodating in fitting in all the songs we requested. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sheldon and his band. "Phenomenal! The Brewskis played at our wedding in April 2023 and were the highlight of the evening! They entertained a crowd of nearly 200 guests with a fantastic live performance of all of our favourite songs. So many of the guests were raving about the band's performance for weeks after the event and took their details. We have been to a lot of weddings over the years and have never seen a band go down so well with everyone so we are delighted that we chose this great group of guys for our wedding! The quality of the music was top notch and the instrumentalists/singer nailed every note; they kept the party going all night! We spoke to John a few weeks before the day to go through all of the arrangements and the songlist (they have an extensive repertoire!) and he was extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to fit in with the setting and timings of the day. We thoroughly recommend this band for any event!"

"Surrey Strings arrived promptly, set up with no fuss in 2 locations (church and wedding reception) and played beautifully. Many guests commented on the excellence of the performance and we were delighted by contribution made to the atmosphere of the day. The responsiveness to requests made in advance for particular pieces also helped set the perfect tone for the two distinct performances. Highly recommended."
