"Thank you so much to Kelly’s Heroes for performing at our wedding evening reception. They were friendly and helpful from the beginning of the booking process right through to after the wedding. All our guests loved them, they provided a great lively atmosphere, and encouraged everyone to get involved. We had guests who go to ceilidhs regularly, and some who had never been to one before. The ceilidh was suitable for everyone, and everyone said how much fun they had. One of the band members taught us the moves to a first dance ceilidh, which we then demonstrated so that everyone could get involved. It was a slower dance and an ideal start with to get everyone involved and comfortable with the dancing. We went for the six person band with two song sets and a ceilidh, and this was ideal for an evening do. Kelly’s Heroes played a great range of tunes which everyone enjoyed tapping along to even if they weren’t ready for a dance yet! We really hope to see them play again in the near future, and we definitely recommend them for events. "

"They arrived promptly, set up without any fuss, played two brilliant sets , were very generous with their time and got everyone dancing. Mike called the dances clearly and gave people chance to have a quick practice. Mike encouraged everyone and the dance floor never emptied. The band really helped make the wedding very special. "

"Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "

"We were bowled over by the band! The 2 sets were perfectly pitched to get dancers onto the floor, really good musicianship and sound system. 10/10. Before the day Mark was in good contact and made sure that we had the event we wanted, also early arrival and set up so we could relax on the day. Cannot thank them enough, highly recommended. "What can I say other than these 2 wonderful performers made my recent cruise . I thought they were the best thing on the ship and hope that Ambassador realise this Kelly can sing absolutely anything and makes every song her own in the most relaxed way she makes it seem easy and I know that for the amount of time she had to sing every night it would be anything but easy . Graham is an amazing musician and plays guitar as well as Hank Marvin Thank you both for making my cruise so enjoyable xxxxxxxx Ps I’m the women who whispered thanks on the last night as I walked past on last night x"

"Mark was excellent; we left him to decide what to play and when and he judged it perfectly, keeping a low profile to begin with while people mingled and chatted then gradually stepping up the pace. When he was in full swing the everyone was up dancing and singing and it was an absolute riot. Most of our guests came to us and asked how we found him and said how the thoroughly enjoyed the music. Some said best party ever - we were absolutely thrilled and enjoyed ourselves tremendously."
