"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 08/04/2023 / Ceilidh for Eastercon 2023 (Sci Fi enthusiast's convention) We had a fun-filled, joyous ceilidh, thanks to the amazing, talented Black Velvet Band.The band members are great fun. Alan had us laughing so much with his warmth and humour when calling the dances. The booking process was straightforward and professional. When I talked on the phone to Mike in advance, I was assured that these guys knew their stuff. When I requested non-gendered calling, that was no problem. The band are very versatile - they added a little Star Trek and Dr Who music, seamlessly, into the ceilidh tunes, to give us an extra-special thrill! "We communicated with Jamie prior to the event to iron out all the necessary details. This made the day run smoothly & stress free. Jamie’s performance was outstanding. A perfect laid back vibe with great audience participation which only added to the atmosphere. We received a number of compliments over our choice of entertainment. Jamie’s voice is superb, we loved the authenticity in his voice. The set list played was extremely fitting to our wedding day. Do not hesitate to book Jamie. You will not regret it!"

"Kelly and Graham were on the last 2 cruises I did with Ambassador cruise line. To say they where the best entertainment on board would be a masterpiece of understatement. All the sets were performed to an amazing level and were very approachable if you wanted a certain song. Kelly's voice is incredibly powerful and can do any genre to a very high standard, and as for Graham, his guitar skills are quite simply the best I have come across. "

"Funk With Us played at our wedding last weekend and were absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend them for any wedding or other event. So many of our guests kept asking how we'd found them because they just blew everyone away with their vocals, energy, song choices and just all around fun! So so so good! It felt like Lilac and the rest of the band just brought the good times back! "

"If you’re looking for a band who can come onstage to a marquee full of people quietly chatting and drinking and within minutes turn them into full-scale dance Machine with everybody in the place laughing and enjoying themselves, Then I think The Blaggers might be the act for you. Guests at our event (held to raise funds to prevent the destruction of a greenbelt zone) ranged from 20s to 60s, But all were captivated by the humour professionalism and generally good time emanating from rom the band. I am a professional filmmaker and have shot an l lot of promo videos for bands, from Euorope (yep, “the final countdown”) to Paul Young to AC/DC, and The Blaggers have that same charismatic quality that you see in all these massively successful bands. For a 3 piece they also a pack a monster sound, and over the course of three sets in one evening they played not only the Gay Gordons and other traditional stuff but also sex and drugs and rock’n’ roll and people are strange by the doors – not something you hear from average ceilidh band. I would highly recommend them if you’re having any kind of function we want to get the whole crowd involved. Oh and did I mention they’re very nice guys as well?"

"We first saw It Takes Two in September 2023 and were immediately blown away with their act. On a cruise ship, with a long itinerary, you would imagine the same songs would keep reappearing but, no, not a bit of it! We were treated to a huge variety of different genres, from 50s through to current day songs, Irish nights, Abba nights, Rock and Roll and even a set by Graham showing off his immensely impressive guitar skills. I’ve never seen Kelly without a smile on her face, giggling along. She is such an upbeat and brilliant singer! It soon became very hard to get a seat when they were performing every night. They filled the floor! If you are looking for a band to perform at any function, they will never disappoint. Just remember to invite me along too! "
