"Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year – everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band Irish Trio played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn’t have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees – which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers."

"Hired these guys for a 50th Birthday Party because we liked the videos. They certainly didn't disappoint! Great humour and sound. Graham is exceptional on the guitar and Kelly's voice gave goosebumps. We will definitely be using them again."

"It was a pleasure to have Jamie come and play at our work event. He is a very talented musician with a really special voice. He created the perfect atmosphere for the guests and even played requested songs that were not in his repertoire but just vibed with the crowd. We had to change set times last minute and Jamie was completely understanding about this, he’s extremely easy to work with. I would highly recommend Jamie for any event, our guests cannot stop raving about him"

"Ruby has been one of our regular entertainers at Elizabeth House since 2017. Residents look forward to her visits and always enjoy a lively afternoon. They enjoy both the singing and the variety of 50’s dresses Ruby wears for every performance. Ruby has a way of interacting with residents and including them as individuals, encouraging all to participate. She brings a smile to their faces. We look forward to many more visits from Ruby."

"The Warm Room at Coleshill Town hall held a VE day celebration party on 8th May this year and was entertained by the most wonderful and most talented Ruby Sings. Not only did she sing in a beautiful voice, her choice of songs, the costumes and engagement with the audience made for a superb day and brought back memories for those old enough and a good old knees up for us all. "Steve, Geoff and Absolute Band were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Really friendly people, superb musicians and ensured our dancefloor was busy all night. "I was a bit sceptical of having live entertainment at the evening wedding do, as in my experience people don't take much notice, boy was I wrong! This couple had the floor full from start to finish. They involved the audience and I felt like I had known them for years. That combined with excellent musicianship. They truly compliment each other. Highly recommend."
