"Phil played for my 60th birthday party which had a speakeasy theme. He was absolutely excellent! He played brilliantly from his massive repertoire of songs and even learned my favourite to play on the night. He improvised The Charleston expertly, to the enjoyment of all flappers present and really entered into the spirit of the party. He really made my birthday party special and to cap it all he is a thoroughly lovely man. I would highly recommend him to anyone."

"Fantastic! We booked Jonny to play at our wedding in July. He played an easy-listening set outside whilst the pictures were being taken and it was great - he had our guests entertained and tapping along, adding a nice vibe to the afternoon. He then played another set during the wedding breakfast which quickly turned into a party and we had an impromptu dancefloor! Our guests (and us) had an absolutely brilliant time dancing and singing along. It was that good that we actually asked Jonny to stay on and play for an extra hour which he was able to do - our guests were demanded this and asking him for his contact details for future bookings! He was happy to take requests and throughout he was easy to communicate with to arrange date/times. Thoroughly nice guy as well, would happily book him again for future occasions."

"We had the Kemptown Hot Club performing during an informal but very important dinner with prestigious guests. All the members are very talented as well as extremely kind and friendly. They tried their best in especially difficult circumstances, for sure their participation, patience and incredible great mood really made the difference in our event."

"When we scheduled our wedding back in 2020, there was no doubt that the Groove Allstars were the band for our big day. We had the pleasure of seeing them at two previous weddings and the band exceeded all expectations in the third iteration. The band was professional and accommodating at a time when we had to reschedule our wedding across two different dates. They made the process easy and filled our day and the collective memories of our guests, with one heck of a party. "I can’t say enough good things about the DJ/percussion combo at our wedding – it completely transformed the night! The live percussion added a dynamic vibe that really got everyone on the dance floor, and the music was spot-on all evening. The performance felt so interactive and elevated the whole experience beyond a typical DJ setup. The guests are still talking about how much fun they had, and the energy was incredible from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, and the attention to detail was clear. It was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding day!"
