Review Centre: Function Bands

"Sorry for the delay in writing, but i would like to say a massive THANK YOU for recommending 'Party Sounds' and arranging for them to play at our Silver Wedding Celebrations. They were everything I had hoped they would be, and more. I was impressed that Mark took the time and trouble to keep in touch with me by telephone rather than by email (which can get a bit messy) and to discuss our likes and dislikes about the music for the evening. They arrived on time at the golf club and we just left the rest to them. It was lovely to be able to put trust in their professionalism and knowledge of their clients preferences to play all evening. We had kept it a closely guarded secret from our guests that we were having a band, and they were really impressed and pleased with what they saw and heard. My one regret is that I was mixing and talking with our guests so much that I didn't really get to fully appreciate the band as I would if I were a guest at someone else's party! I am trying to talk my friends into doing the same, so that I can listen to them again. However, whenever I did draw breath, the sound was exactly like they were playing a CD version of the song - I had to keep checking that it was actually Mark and his colleagues who were really singing - and, oh boy , it most definitely was!! So thank you once again, and please feel free to use my words as recommendation to others. 'Party Sounds' would definitely be my first choice of music for any events in the future. I don't even think I would consider hiring a DJ ever again :)"

"The Mellowtones played for us at an evening reception for our son's Bar Mitzvah, and they were outstanding. We were aiming for a relaxed chilled out atmosphere in a marquee in our back garden, and their music provided the perfect backdrop. We had masses of compliments from family and friends, and we would not hesitate to recommend them. The process of inquiring and booking them was also simple and a pleasure. Thanks for a wonderful evening!"

"Wow what a night! This band are amazing and had everyone on their feet! I had seen them performing at the Thomas Tripp in Christchurch and as soon as I heard them I knew I wanted them for my 40th party! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Gav the lead singer got all the audience involved which was brilliant and everyone just had such a great time. If you are looking for a party band look no further, these are your guys! "We had seen The Charm Offensive many times before and had no hesitation in booking them for our big day, and what a great choice it was. The dancefloor was rocking all night and the boys were amazing. They played a song we requested, and it was fab! 100% recommend these guyys to anyone who wants a party to end thier big day. "

"Thank you SO much for bringing so much fun to our wedding reception, you were absolutely amazing! We were so sad when it all ended, if we could do it over again I don't think we would have left the dance floor all night! We've recently had our wedding video back and it has been so nice to see everyone having the best time in the evening. So many people commented on how much fun they had, and how great you all were! From allowing a bit of karaoke (thank you!) to getting our first dance song spot on to keep the most perfect song choices coming, it was amazing and we couldn't recommend you all enough."

"Mitch was great. We wanted to stay away from the traditional cheesy wedding DJ, so booked Mitch as a live DJ set. The drums added a great dynamic and Mitch was accommodating from the start. We got a call to discuss exactly what kind of music we wanted and he delivered. Mitch is responsive, arrived promptly and was great value for money. Thanks for being part of our day!"

"“We were delighted with the Hot Four, who we hired for out Vintage-style Wedding. Selecting a band was tough, but the Hot Four’s history and their ability to play vingtage-style won us over. I got goosebumps listening to the lead singer online and knew they were the right choice. The band played one vingtage set and one modern set, and we were blown away by how many people got up and danced right from the start! The vibe was a perfect fit for out wedding, rhey set up before dinner and performed flawlessly throughout. They learned a new track for our first dance and, on the day, they were accommodation in shot]rtening it slightly on our request. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better band. They truly made our wedding memorable, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for talented and professional musicians who specialise in a vintage style. Thank you the Hot Four! "
