Review Centre: Function Bands

"I first saw Goldsworth Gerry in a local hostelry and to be honest I wasn't expecting a duo to be so good. I immediately booked them for a birthday celebration way in advance. That celebration was last week and they were brilliant. Rave reviews from all my guests on the music, including "if you closed your eyes it could have been the original band". Shame my dancing wasn't quite as good @ o)) Look no further if you want to go and see or book an amazing covers band. Thank you Martin and Stuart."

"Both Alexis and I would like to say a huge thank you for the superb job you did at our Wedding. You were a pleasure to work with before the event and your performance on the night was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn Jewish Wedding 2 the words for the Israeli dancing for us also- we really appreciated that! Your ability to read the crowd was great, you got everybody singing and the wide range of music you play meant there was something for everyone. My particular favourite was the unbelievable Billie Jean/Smells Like Teen-Spirit combo you played towards the end! Overall we had an amazing time and our Wedding would not have been the same without The Talent. Thank you so much!"

"I recently organised a surprise 40th birthday barn dance for my wife’s 40th birthday. Kip whom I was in contact with prior to the event was helpful and a breeze to deal with and when it came to the event itself Kip and the band were absolutely amazing! Thank you so much the three of you, you really made it a fun, hilarious and quality evening that we will always remember. So many people who’d never been to a barn dance have since said to me they are converts, and those that already had experience of ceilidhs extolled your virtues too. These things can hinge on the caller and Kip gauged the crowd perfectly - really making sure we all had a fantastic evening. Thank you so much again, would not hesitate to recommend or book again. Please let us know when you play at Plympton Guildhall next, we will definitely be there. Best Greg"

"To the amazing London Anthemic, We struggled to find a band that could deliver what we were looking for but after seeing your video and making an initial inquiry, we knew you were the band for us. During the many email exchanges and phone calls you, and your manager Guy, were always so responsive, patient and helpful. Meeting the band on our wedding day was a pleasure as you are all so lovely! We can’t thank you enough for effortlessly working around some of the unexpected timing issues. Firstly, well done... you managed to get everyone dancing with your perfect set list. You executed your performance very professionally with great sound, and Charlotte’s natural interaction with our guests took it to the next level. Our guests are still sharing positive compliments! "Lucy and Jack were amazing at our wedding. Everything we could have hoped for. They were great at learning my song requests for the whole day. Very reasonably priced for the incredible service they provide. Intimate and happy atmosphere created by their beautiful voices and musical talents! Completely perfected the musical genres we wanted of modern country and pop, with couple of older songs too. For any brides out there I highly recommend Lucy and Jack, and to have live singer whilst walking down the aisle, it was one of the most memorable parts of my day. "

Thank you for adapting to changes on the night so well and for engaging with all of our guests- lots of the girls complimented you Talisha on your dance moves! We were really impressed with your professional yet friendly nature when talking to us, you made feel really comfortable and knew that we could trust you to play to what the crowd wanted! We would definitely recommend you to other couples who are getting married. The customer interaction before the wedding was also great- a lengthy phonecall about the logistics and regular emails about song requests etc - we absolutely loved that you learnt and played our special song for us!
