"Bessie’s life in blues brought back to life. Some performers deserve to be known by more than their work. Bessie Smith won fame as Empress of the Blues in the 1020’s, but there was more to her life than money and fame. She died in 1937, but 80 years on a good sized crowd were held rapt at the Thunderbolt as Dave Merrick narrated her life story, from a ragged upbringing in the American South, with the help of original recordings. Bessie shot to fame because her unique vocal style could cut through the limitations of 1920s recording technology. But it was the live performances the Totterdown audience were waiting for, and Natalie Davis on vocals, with Dave on guitar and Brenan Whitmore on saxophone did not disappoint. Renditions of I Need A Little Sugar in my Bowl, and ‘Taint Nobodies Business If I Do made the magic of Bessie shine, from the slow paced blues of the 1920s to the syncopated swing of the 1930. . the show had the audience rapt. - Paul Breeden, South Bristol Voice (May 01, 2017)"

"All my friends and family that attended my 30th birthday thought the band sounded and looked fabulous. By the end of the night everyone was up dancing which looked fab as we were all dressed in 1920's attire with the band selecting songs inline with our theme."

"What a great evening we had being entertained by these guys at The Fisher Theatre in Bungay, Suffolk! They are superb musicians and their renditions of legendary guitar music were second only to the real legends themselves! Still Got The Blues for You, Hotel California, Purple Rain, Thunder, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and so the list went on. We left the venue on a high and are still talking about the performance today. Go and see these guys for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. "

"Every time I go listen to Chaz and any of his bands I have a great time. They are all so talented musicians. The music is so great, can be relaxing or uplifting but always so beautiful. It made me want to take on swing dance classes!😁"

"Hi Sam! We would just like to say the biggest thanks, the evening went so well, everyone was buzzing! What a night we all had on Saturday! The band made our night so special for us and Dale and the band made that possible. We knew you were fantastic but on the night you lit up the sky and everyone thought the Band was amazing. Your help and advice sorting the stage in the lead up to our wedding was exceptional, you were so helpful, accommodating and reassuring when we had a question or query. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Dale and all the band who are all so gifted / talented, and so much fun! They absolutely made our wedding day one night that we will never ever forget! The dance floor was never empty, Dee and Mel were incredible so much charisma and simply Amazing! Thanks for making it such a special night for us family and our friends – you blew us away ! "My new wife and I booked 106 miles to Chicago for our wedding. We were looking for a band with a set list of songs that people were going to know and dance to… and with 106 Miles to Chicago we got all that and more! Very professional, great interaction with the audience and a set list that kept us and our guests dancing and singing from the first song to the last. Andy finished off the evening with a DJ set that picked up exactly where the live performance finished, with everyone dancing and singing along until it was time to go home. 106 Miles to Chicago are excellent - They definitely helped make our day memorable. "Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day so special! It was really important to us that our wedding had a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and the Mustangs fitted the bill perfectly. They looked and sounded great, and their enthusiasm whilst performing was infectious, getting everyone up dancing, from the children to our older relatives and everyone in between. The music was upbeat and fun, and its widespread appeal across generations made it perfect for a wedding. It is a sure sign of their talent that a couple of months on our friends and family are still talking about how much they enjoyed the band. "

"The Rampart Street Ramblers were excellent. Easy to deal with and flexible with plans, within the parameters of the booking. They had their own good suggestions (for example playing before dinner in the garden unamplified and then amplified in the marquee afterwards which worked very well.) They performed very professionally and their style was much appreciated by host and guests alike."
