"This was the second time that I have seen First Edition at The Grapevine in Exmouth and both times I have been hugely impressed by their musicianship. Last night from the first beat they had people on the dance floor and with such a varied set list and seemless continuity there wasn't the exodus from the dance floor you get from other bands or DJ's. So if you need a fantastic function band for a special celebration or corporate function check this group of extremely talented and professional musicians & singers out you won't be disappointed."

"The Lonely Hearts come highly reccommended. True professionals. Their contact ahead of the event was regular. They learnt a new song for our first dance which we werent expecting. They really added to our wedding and got everyone up dancing! Thanks to them for making the evening reception of our wedding so memorable."

"So many people have commented on how much they enjoyed the music... I'm sure that people were dancing because they couldn't resist your fiddle playing. Also it was delightful to be able to talk between dances, yet also listen to and enjoy your harp playing. Your contribution to the success of our day is immeasurable. "We booked Soul Of The Party for our camping clubs 60th birthday party. Right from our first contact with the band they were totally professional. Every question was answered, they made suggestions to help the party go with a swing. Right through to packing up at the end of the night the band were amazing. These musicians performed to an very high standard, interacted with the audience and kept the energy going to ensure a full dancefloor all night long. Not one member of the audience did not enjoy the evening and you could tell that the band enjoyed performing as much as we enjoyed listening. Cannot recommend this band highly enough. You won’t be disappointed! "

"We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"
