"Having reached the ripe old age of 65 this year, my partner organised a big Grumpy Old Gits Retirement Party for me in a marquee in our garden in Pangbourne. We had over 120 attend & most guests came dressed up as Old Gits (Victor Meldrew, Alf Garnet, Compo, Nora Batty etc.) and we needed a local band to get the place rocking, with a wide variety of covers from the 50's to the present day. Found Mike's band Back2Back (just up the road in Wantage) on this site and were not dissapointed. Fantastic set, got everyone up dancing, entertained us with humour between songs and even threw in a wireless solo guitar trip around the whole marquee. Very impressive PA sytem and lights, all remotely controlled by their own Sound Engineer and six musicians who know how to put on a very professional and tight sounding show. Everyone kept asking how we could afford such a good band. The nice thing is, they were so reasonable, we still had change out of our budget to spend the rest on a decent firework display at 10:30 in the evening, and after that, the band played on!! They were so good in fact, that as we organise the annual Pangbourne Village Fete each year, we have booked them as our main act for the second weekend in June 2019. I advise you try them out for your event before then (or come to the fete next year). Absolute rockers, thanks Mike and the rest of the band, see you in June, if not before at another event. "The Cheers are a real talent and brought our night alive! Our first dance went so well that people thought we'd prepared it! The set list you'd put together was so on point and us, and the backing music was really great too - watching my bride lose it at my chemical romance and fallout boy and rock out entirely was a moment that will live on happily from the day. Thank you for all you did to help this run smoothly & to the band for ending our day with fun, laughter and love."

"Brilliant service and amazing music. We absolutely loved the band, they were fantastic and really flexible too come the evening when we didn’t really know what was happening with cutting the cake and the first dance. Really good communication between the band and LMM too. Couldn’t have asked for better. Thanks so much for a wonderful service and making our wedding unforgettable."

"On the occasion of my Father's 75th Birthday Celebrations, I was looking for a live band that could perform music of his era when growing up. I could not have asked for better. I viewed The Cats Whiskers video on line and sent an enquiry via email. They quickly responded to my enquiry and we spoke and I felt that this was the band to choose. I wasn't wrong. Last night we enjoyed a wonderful evening of music which everyone present could remember and recall. A truly amazing evening was enjoyed by everyone and this was in no small way due to the professional approach and musical knowledge of this amazing group of wonderful musicians- A huge thanks to you all and will certainly book them again for future events Keep up the wonderful melodies !!!"
