Review Centre: Pop Bands

"This was the second time that I have seen First Edition at The Grapevine in Exmouth and both times I have been hugely impressed by their musicianship. Last night from the first beat they had people on the dance floor and with such a varied set list and seemless continuity there wasn't the exodus from the dance floor you get from other bands or DJ's. So if you need a fantastic function band for a special celebration or corporate function check this group of extremely talented and professional musicians & singers out you won't be disappointed."

"This band are amazing, they played our first dance live which was a lovely start to the evening. They play a wide variety of music from Motown to current songs and played requested songs. All in all they made our day really special. We highly recommend."

"We hired these guys for our wedding. The girls sounded amazing and the whole band were so slick. The sound was at just the right level, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud that we couldn't speak to people in the next room. They were extremely kind and a pleasure to deal with even allowing the youngest wedding guest to play with their tambourine. I would love to do the whole wedding again and i would hire them again. Maybe my next big birthday party! Thank you all for making our wedding end on a fabulous note. Andrew & Lisa Cook x "

"My wife and I had The VIP Formula as the band for our wedding! They were brilliant in every way, equal parts professional and super relaxed. They arrived on time, set up quickly and were a complete success! The crowd loved them and their brilliant musicality, the level of audience participation was just perfect and they looked especially dashing in their suits. I would book them again in an instant and recommend them to anyone who wants to have a great event!"

"Rocked Up! played at our wedding last weekend and were absolutely fantastic! The effort made by Greg and John to ensure every stage of the wedding ran smoothly with the music was just brilliant! And the band made the party afterwards so memorable, all week I have had wedding guests saying how fantastic they were! Even people that don’t usually get up and dance we’re up dancing all night! It’s a day and night we will never forget especially thanks to these guys! Wish we could do it all again!” "

"H&R acoustics played at our wedding and they were great. They play a wide repertoire of songs, including jazz, soul and Latin music, both ballads and more uptempo numbers. Highly professional duo and there was fantastic feedback from the guests. They are also very easy to deal with, which made our wedding preparations that bit easier. We’d definitely book H&R again! "
