"Just to say a huge thank you for Saturday night. James was so helpful in organising the booking, nothing was too much trouble. On the night, everyone was absolutely blown away with the standard of the band, such a great range of repertoire all of which was highly polished and performed to the highest standard with so much energy and enthusiasm. "The Northern Reel Collective played at the evening reception for my wedding on 30/03/2018. They were brilliant, and my guests were singing their praises. Quite a few guests had not ceilidh danced before, but nearly everyone had a go and enjoyed themselves. The well-practised Scottish contingent also enjoyed the music and dancing. My seven-year-old cousins are still talking about the dancing and what fun they had. Even the groom's 90-year-old granny was able to dance one of the slower dances. Michael did the calling on the day, giving clear instructions for people to follow; he was also great to deal with in the booking process. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Thanks, guys!"

"Firstly, thank you so much to The Covered, you were amazing! Thank you. xx The initial enquiry was promptly responded to. We traded a few e mails and a phone call, I got a sense from our first contact that you were approachable, friendly and passionate about delivering the best performance you could for your client. On the day of the event, you were present at the venue nearly 3 hours before the start of the performance. Whilst I struggled with helium balloons (I now know I could never be a children's entertainer!!) I could see and hear how much attention to detail went into the preparation for your performance. I think it's worth mentioning that your sound engineer, Ivan, is an absolute expert. I felt very lucky to see and hear your passion as all of the band prepared for the performance. During the course of the set up, I had the opportunity to catch up with individual band members. You were all so down to earth and friendly it really set the scene for an inclusive and friendly evening. Coming on to the performance. Stunning!! Incredible and stunning. The stage backdrop was very attractive and complimented the performance. The drums! Super fantastic to watch and hear. There was so much to see and hear from The Covered, all of it fantastic! One of the guests told me later, "The band were great, certainly the best I have heard for many years". To be fair, the compliments for your performance were non stop. If you are reading this review as a potential client, don't hesitate!! Book this amazing band before they get snapped up. Lastly, thank you John, and thanks to your band, your sound engineer and your backing vocalist. We had such a heart warming family celebration at which you were the front and centre. Hiring The Covered was a privilege. If we are to do the same again we will be in touch xxxx"

"On behalf of all my friends who attended my 50th birthday party and subsequently raved about Taylor's performance, I'd like to say how thrilled I am to have decided to book her to sing for us. Professional and impeccable, Taylor really understood the crowd and chose the perfect tunes to keep everyone dancing and having fun for the whole set. "What a great night was had at Fairlands Community Centre when The Shakesterss came to play at our St Georges Day celebrations. As predicted, everyone from all age groups were soon up dancing to all their favourite songs, and when worn out with dancing sang along with them. The band obviously enjoyed playing and interacting with guests - and even joining in with the raffle held. They even managed to walk away with a few prizes!!! Thanks guys for helping to make our evening a success."

"Caroline is an excellent and accomplished musician who never fails to entrance with her playing, and any concerts where she is included are not to be missed. The recent Coffee Concert we attended was an inspiration, and it was lovely to be close enough to appreciate the wonderful use of her instrument. She is so talented and her violin 'sings' for us. We enjoy her solo work and also her playing where she interacts with other musicians. Concert 2nd February 2018"

After searching high and low for a valuable artist to play at my partners 30th surprise carribean themed birthday party, I most definitely made the right choice in booking Gary! "WHAT A FANTASTIC BAND!!! I really couldn't recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls enough to anyone - nothing was too much trouble and they were so accommodating! They play a whole range of different music to suit all tastes and we even had a music medley quiz for our event and were blown away to learn they actually learnt how to play each song! They have a great chemistry together and you can tell they really love what they do, so if you are looking for a hassle free band that bring a whole lot of energy, fun and dancing to your event, look no further than The Marvellous Motown Souls! On behalf of the KTP Team I would just like to say a huge thank you to Lizy, James, Nick, Max, Ben & Toby for making our event one to remember! Laura x"

"We booked Chunk of Funk to help us celebrate a significant family occasion. To say they exceeded our expectations is an understatement. The party was originally booked for 2020 but due to Covid it had to be postponed. Steve was happy to hold the booking for as long as we needed and throughout communication was first rate. On the day, they fitted in with everything else that was happening seamlessly. They provided two sets of one hour each and there wasn't a song that wasn't met with whoops and cheers from our guests. They were also more than happy to accommodate song requests. The band were brilliant and the singers exceptional. I would absolutely recommend that anyone booking Chunk of Funk go all out and book the whole band, with brass section, as it makes a huge difference. Chunk of Funk are definitely up there as one of the best party bands. "
