"Jess came and sang at my 1940s 40th birthday party. She arrived and set up on time and was such a pleasure to have. She looked the part and had the most incredible voice. All my friends and family were so complimentary and she hugely helped the event feel like the 1940’s. It was so great to have such a friendly person to entertain us and I would highly recommend her. Thanks again Jess."

Having been let down by our original singer with just a month to go, you came highly recommended and we are thrilled you were able to play for us! You were a pleasure to liaise with from day one, quick to reply to our emails and provided a truly seamless service. On the day, the music was awesome and we are so grateful for you learning to play our first dance song especially for us in such a short space of time! "If you read only ONE line of this review...BOOK THE VINTAGE VOCALIST FOR YOUR EVENT! From the initial phone contact with Paula to her saying goodbye on the day, our time and experience was 100% positive in every way. My wife and I were able to choose from a huge set list of songs from various musical era's and genre's and Paula seamlessly organised all our favourites into a cracking party playlist for the wedding reception. By the third song, she had guests up dancing and by the second set, my 86 year old Auntie (who walks with two sticks), was throwing her shapes on the dance floor! Paula absolutely made our wedding day! We had guests from the age of 7 to 86 and we can honestly say that each and every one of them loved Paula's performance. Many spoke to her themselves to thank and praise her and many more told us how impressed they were and that they'd be either booking her themselves or would attend venues she'd be performing at in the future! Paula looked stunning in her classy vintage dress and her fabulous voice entertained our party and the local York residents, who sat out on their apartment balconies with a drink to lap up the free entertainment! What makes Paula so special, is that she instantly felt like a friend and a guest, not a singer we'd booked for our wedding entertainment. Her warm, open and down-to-earth personality, instantly puts you at ease and she has a brilliant Yorkshire accent and sense of humour! I loved that as I returned from the bar with a drink to keep her refreshed during her break, I found Paula sat amongst all my family, laughing and joking. We felt happy to see her enjoying the day with us and confident that our entertainment was in good hands. Our 8 year old son was desperate to sing a duet with Paula and we loved how accommodating and kind she was. Some artists would be precious about their professional set being gatecrashed unexpectedly, but Paula embraced the request and handed him his own microphone! Our family really liked and admired her for going with the flow and making the day special for everyone. So if you're considering booking The Vintage Vocalist and need a little persuasion to choose this incredibly talented Yorkshire lass, let me leave you with this... I showed my son the official wedding photo's and laughed at how happy he looked on his photo's with Paula and he turned to me and said... "What you laughing at Mummy?...I was living my BEST LIFE that day!!" I think coming from an 8 year old boy...that says it all."

"Jon performed for a small gathering at my home around Christmas time. It was a surprise for my friends and Jon did not disappoint. Firstly to say, he was truly professional in all my dealings with him, finding out exactly what was needed to make the evening a success. Secondly his performance was outstanding. He read the mood and the flow of the evening and made sure everyone had a great time. We even gave him short notice of a couple of songs to learn, which he did fabulously well. Make sure you book this young talented man for any event you are having. A truly terrific find! "

"Mimi Rouge was absolutely fantastic!! The atmosphere she brought to our Christmas Party was brilliant. Would highly recommend hiring her for any event. The variety of songs she was able to sing was brilliant and all our volunteers and staff have commented on how amazing she was. Would definitely hire again in the future for other events if we can!"
