Review Centre: Christmas Bands

"Soul Generations were absolutely fantastic at our wedding. Their repertoire was interesting and varied, so it was easy to select a really good set list together. Rhona, their manager, got in touch about a month before and asked if we wanted the band to learn something new for the first dance, which we thought was incredibly thoughtful. On the day, the band absolutely smashed it - from beginning to end. Their versions of each song was original, cool and on point. Nearly everyone asked where we had found the band, and said they were absolutely the best they'd heard. We loved every minute. Thank you!! X"

"We had Lucy at our garden party on Saturday. She started with Etta James and it just kept getting better from there. When she did Whitney Houston we teared up a little. Then she got us dancing with bouncy country and we danced the rest of the night. It’s not easy to get our lot dancing but she did it! Thank you millions Lucy for making our night!"

"Just wanted to say thanks very much for sat night at Cardiff county hall. Everybody enjoyed the night and Im sure you noticed my best mate Allan did too! Thanks so much for learning Oleta Adams - get here I was so chuffed with it you played it really well and the singer was brilliant. All my guests were asking if you were local, when I told them no, they were amazed that you came from Bristol only for a few hours, and I am glad you did. "The Smooth Criminals played at our wedding in South Wales and we couldn't have made a better choice, they were true professionals. Communication was great in the lead up to the day and they were super accommodating of all our requests. On the day, they ran the evening entertainment without a hitch, flexing their sets to the late running of day. Their talent, combined with the high quality equipment they use resulted in a professional sound and incredible performance - we had so many complements from guests during and after the event, many of whom are musicians themselves. "

"I saw the girls play in a pub in Hampton and I didn’t know what to expect…they completely blew my mind! As a proffessional musician I can be quite picky about bands, especially function ones; they left me speechless! Two long sets with smooth transitions, amazing arrangements and perfect harmonies. With their incredible grooves (and stamina) they made the whole crowd dance non-stop until the end, I’ve never seen a pub audience ask for two encores this loudly! Absolutely worth a watch, I won’t hesitate to contact them for any event."

"Wow - what can I say?! After a stressful morning not knowing if the groom was going to make the wedding due to a sudden case of norovirus we were having to change the timings and be as flexible as possible. We were an hour late starting our first dance but the band didn’t complain and just went with it. They are even better live and made our evening celebrations despite my husband not being able to stay up - I partied for the both of us! So many people commented on how good they were and we will certainly be hiring again for our big milestone birthdays! Thank you so much Crimson Sky! "

"We recruited Laura to play for my sisters wedding. From the first communication she was really friendly and quick to respond to messages. Nothing was too much for Laura in terms of our requests (my sister had some specific pieces she wanted Laura to learn for the wedding). Laura was keen to please and sorced the pieces we’d requested and also suggested other repertoire she could perform. The tone of the repertoire was perfect! It was just the atmosphere we wanted for the wedding! Laura arrived early in preparation for the wedding, she was dressed professionally and looked just the part. She was warm and friendly when chatting to us and guests on the day. I cannot recommend Laura enough! Thank you!"
