They were surprised by the versatility of the cello, as demonstrated by the imaginative and varied programme of classical, jazz and show pieces you played, and of course by your virtuosity. All comments were positive, ‘excellent’, ‘great music’, ‘most enjoyable afternoon’, ‘very talents musicians’ ‘magnificent’. "We want to say how wonderful your email below is, even before we get to the recording. We put a lot of original thinking into the ceremony and had a clear idea of what we wanted to do, including input in three different languages, all of which we managed to carry off thanks to Sonore’s willingness to take on an original piece (which was beautifully played) and to lead a Maori love song. For this reason we are so happy to hear you say that the ceremony will live long in the memory as this means an awful lot to us! We had also worried later in the day that the venue had done you a disservice by leading people into the Engine house and away from your performance, and while that was taking place Elly and I were all around the venue taking photographs. We heard you playing Winter Flowers and worried that there was no-one around at this point to hear it. To know that in fact you will have been preparing this recording therefore gives us a huge boost, not to mention that the recording is wonderful. Thank you so much I and we have sent this on to Lucy, who is rightly so happy with this. Your email and the recording lifted our spirits on this point so much - we were left with no words! And so it just remains to thank you again for your engagement and professionalism at the wedding. We have been very lucky to find you. We wish you all the very best and hope you will be involved in similar events for others in the future. "INCREDIBLE!!! I could not recommend enough. We were back & fourth about booking due to being over our budget - but I am SO glad we did. They played me walking down the aisle / our drinks reception and made the day so much more special and memorable, Our guests also loved it! Aside from being insanely talented, they were extremely easy to deal with. Martin who co-ordinated the booking was so helpful from start to finish - he made us feel like nothing was a problem!! If you’re unsure whether to book then I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed!! Thank you again."

"Just wanted to say that the CG quartet we hired for my daughter' s wedding from LMM were amazing. They arranged and played what she requested beautifully, from waiting for the bride to arrive, playing as she went up the aisle and then processing out again. They were professional and their playing was of the highest quality. Everything was organised with minimal fuss and communication and reassurance was constant throughout. I would thoroughly recommend LMM."

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help with our wedding on 27th June at Lake Vyrnwy. It went really well. We had a lot of compliments about the string quartet! We were slightly worried beforehand as we hadn't met the DJ or the string quartet or the ceilidh band before and so we were not familiar with their work, but we were really pleased we had hired them all. They all did a fantastic job and new exactly how to please our crowd. Many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we believe it was largely down to the great entertainment. "Modern Strings did a fantastic job at our wedding. I asked for a string trio. They followed my instructions to the letter and were very cooperative during the event and in the run up to it. They brilliantly played additional pieces of music that were not on their repertoire. They also beautifully played a mixture of classical and popular songs. All guests commented how well they played and what a fantastic idea it was to have a live trio at our wedding. The trio were smiley and extremely friendly and reliable on our wedding day. I would recommend their services to my best of friends and family and would employ their services again should I have another event. Very well done and thank you for making our special day even more special. "
