Review Centre: Classical Ensembles

"We probably made things a little difficult for the Strings in that our guest ages ranged from 6 to 90 and in a vast open area, their sound was difficult to hear unless in the main lawn area, and people were wandering everywhere. Having said that, several guests gave me feedback that was very positive and that they enjoyed the music a lot. Jane and the guys co-operated fully with any requests made, and I got a lot of comments where people recognised tunes but without words made it a challenge to identify the song or artist. I had hoped to get a few people dancing but my attempt failed, guests were very much into conversations with friends and family they had not seen got for considerable time. Overall, the strings were very professional, please pass on my thanks to Jane and her colleagues, just a feeling that we did not do them justice."

"We had a brilliant day thank you. Everything went swimmingly and everyone turned up so we had over 85 people there in the end. The music was lovely. Everyone enjoyed it. It was just what we wanted. It created a lovely atmosphere. We had people come from Chester, North Wales, the Midlands and Devon,so we had a fabulous time. Thank you for your help. "Well Helen and Lucy the response to your music even surprised me We had a families and friends hog roast meal at the Sitwell Hotel and booked the duo as light backing music while we where chatting and eating and drinking with our friends to get to now them before the wedding the next day, We wondered if it would work .well it sure did The girls done a wonderful job and a lot of adults complimented me on the way the girls played One comment was The music was so breath taking I just had to sit back a listen would I book them again .....A yes for sure 10 out of 10 felt like they where one of the group "

"We had a lovely day and especially enjoyed the experience of a string quartet playing on the lawn for us! The music was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for. "Hi Aly, A very big thank you for last night - once again, you played an enormous part in making it a much enjoyed evening and, therefore, a resounding success. We had a mix of parents with some who had been last year who, rather than arriving with trepidation, had come along knowing that there were in for a good time, plus some who had heard it was a good event and were keen to get involved. You certainly did a great job of getting people up dancing, providing extremely clear instructions - I just need to work on my sense of direction! Thanks again, Alison."

"Thank you for playing (pun unintended) such a huge part in making the perfect day. You missed your special mention during the speeches as you were preparing for our first dance, but both my husband and dad mentioned how great you were and you got a round of applause. So many people have commented on how amazing the band was, I am especially grateful that you played the song requested by my father-in-law. It meant a lot to him. I will certainly recommend you to anyone and would never hire anyone else if in need of a String Quartet again."

"First of all we would like to say how impressed and moved we all were by Andrew and Philip's performance yesterday. Andrews voice is truly amazing and my Mum would have loved it. During the wake everyone was saying how wonderful it was and that no one really knew if it was correct or appropriate to clap. Please tell him that everyone wishes they had and wanted to! We would like to thank him for making the service so very special. "
